অতএব, তোমরা হীনবল হয়ো না এবং সন্ধির আহবান জানিও না, তোমরাই হবে প্রবল। আল্লাহই তোমাদের সাথে আছেন। তিনি কখনও তোমাদের কর্ম হ্রাস করবেন না।
So be not weak and ask not for peace (from the enemies of Islâm), while you are having the upper hand. Allâh is with you, and will never decrease the reward of your good deeds.
فَلَا تَهِنُوا وَتَدْعُوا إِلَى السَّلْمِ وَأَنتُمُ الْأَعْلَوْنَ وَاللَّهُ مَعَكُمْ وَلَن يَتِرَكُمْ أَعْمَالَكُمْ
Fala tahinoo watadAAoo ila alssalmi waantumu al-aAAlawna waAllahu maAAakum walan yatirakum aAAmalakum
YUSUFALI: Be not weary and faint-hearted, crying for peace, when ye should be uppermost: for Allah is with you, and will never put you in loss for your (good) deeds.
PICKTHAL: So do not falter and cry out for peace when ye (will be) the uppermost, and Allah is with you, and He will not grudge (the reward of) your actions.
SHAKIR: And be not slack so as to cry for peace and you have the upper hand, and Allah is with you, and He will not bring your deeds to naught.
KHALIFA: Therefore, you shall not waver and surrender in pursuit of peace, for you are guaranteed victory, and GOD is with you. He will never waste your efforts.
৩৫। ক্লান্ত হয়ো না এবং দুর্বল চিত্ত হয়ে সন্ধির জন্য আর্তনাদ করো না ; যখন তোমরাই হবে প্রবল ৪৮৫৯। নিশ্চয়ই আল্লাহ্ তোমাদের সাথে আছেন, এবং তিনি তোমাদের [ ভালো ] কাজকে কখনও ক্ষতিগ্রস্থ করবেন না।
৪৮৫৯। যাদের উপরে দুষ্টের দমন ও শিষ্টের পালনের ভার অর্পিত তাদের কর্তব্য সম্বন্ধে এই আয়াতে নির্দ্দেশ দান করা হয়েছে। দুষ্টের সাথে সন্ধি বা শান্তি বা শুধুমাত্র সংঘর্ষই শেষ কথা নয়। শেষ কথা হচ্ছে হয় সত্য ও ন্যায় বিজয় লাভ করবে অথবা অন্যায় ও অসত্যের জয় হবে। এ দুয়ের মাঝে কোন সন্ধি হতে পারে না। আল্লাহ্ তাঁর সৈনিকদের আশ্বাস দিয়েছেন যে, তারা যেনো সত্যের সংগ্রামে হীনবল না হয়ে পড়ে ; কারণ শেষ পর্যন্ত যা ন্যায়, সত্য ও কল্যাণকর তার বিজয় অবধারিত। কারণ আল্লাহ্ তাদের আশ্বাস দিচ্ছেন যে আল্লাহ্র সৈনিকরা যারা আল্লাহ্র বিশ্বজনীন পরিকল্পনাকে বাস্তবায়িত করার জন্য সংগ্রাম করে থাকে তাদের জন্য আল্লাহ্র সাহায্য দ্বার প্রান্তে।
