সেই নবীগণ আল্লাহর পয়গাম প্রচার করতেন ও তাঁকে ভয় করতেন। তারা আল্লাহ ব্যতীত অন্যকাউকে ভয় করতেন না। হিসাব গ্রহণের জন্যে আল্লাহ যথেষ্ঠ।
Those who convey the Message of Allâh and fear Him, and fear none save Allâh. And Sufficient is Allâh as a Reckoner.
الَّذِينَ يُبَلِّغُونَ رِسَالَاتِ اللَّهِ وَيَخْشَوْنَهُ وَلَا يَخْشَوْنَ أَحَدًا إِلَّا اللَّهَ وَكَفَى بِاللَّهِ حَسِيبًا
Allatheena yuballighoona risalati Allahi wayakhshawnahu wala yakhshawna ahadan illa Allaha wakafa biAllahi haseeban
YUSUFALI: (It is the practice of those) who preach the Messages of Allah, and fear Him, and fear none but Allah. And enough is Allah to call (men) to account. PICKTHAL: Who delivered the messages of Allah and feared Him, and feared none save Allah. Allah keepeth good account.
SHAKIR: Those who deliver the messages of Allah and fear Him, and do not fear any one but Allah; and Allah is sufficient to take account.
KHALIFA: Those who deliver GOD’s messages, and who reverence Him alone, shall never fear anyone but GOD. GOD is the most efficient reckoner.
৩৯। [ তারা মানুষের কাছে ] আল্লাহ্র বাণী প্রচার করতো এবং তাঁকে ভয় করতো এবং আল্লাহকে ব্যতীত অন্য কাউকে ভয় করতো না। [ মানুষের ] হিসাব গ্রহণের জন্য আল্লাহ্-ই যথেষ্ট ৩৭৩০।
৩৭৩০। পার্থিব জীবনে মানুষের দায়িত্ব কর্তব্য হচ্ছে শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহ্র প্রতি। তিনি যে ভাবে আমাদের জীবন পরিচালনা করতে হুকুম দান করেছেন। সে ভাবে পরিচালনা করা আমাদের দায়িত্ব ও কর্তব্য। জাগতিক হুকুম বা ভয়ে বা সংস্কারের বশে তা ত্যাগ করা উচিত নয়। মানুষ সভ্যতার দোহাই দিয়ে বা নিজস্ব মনগড়া ব্যাখ্যার মাধ্যমে এই কর্তব্য থেকে বিচ্যুত হয়। কিন্তু এখানে বলা হয়েছে , যখনই এরূপ বিভ্রান্তির উপস্থিত হবে, তখন আল্লাহ্র প্রতি কর্তব্যকে সর্বাগ্রে স্থান দিতে হবে, মানুষকে নয়। শুধুমাত্র আল্লাহকেই ভয় করতে হবে মানুষকে নয়।
