আর আমি মানুষকে তার পিতা-মাতার সাথে সদ্ব্যবহারের জোর নির্দেশ দিয়েছি। তার মাতা তাকে কষ্টের পর কষ্ট করে গর্ভে ধারণ করেছে। তার দুধ ছাড়ানো দু বছরে হয়। নির্দেশ দিয়েছি যে, আমার প্রতি ও তোমার পিতা-মতার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞ হও। অবশেষে আমারই নিকট ফিরে আসতে হবে।
And We have enjoined on man (to be dutiful and good) to his parents. His mother bore him in weakness and hardship upon weakness and hardship, and his weaning is in two years give thanks to Me and to your parents, unto Me is the final destination.
وَوَصَّيْنَا الْإِنسَانَ بِوَالِدَيْهِ حَمَلَتْهُ أُمُّهُ وَهْنًا عَلَى وَهْنٍ وَفِصَالُهُ فِي عَامَيْنِ أَنِ اشْكُرْ لِي وَلِوَالِدَيْكَ إِلَيَّ الْمَصِيرُ
Wawassayna al-insana biwalidayhi hamalat-hu ommuhu wahnan AAala wahnin wafisaluhu fee AAamayni ani oshkur lee waliwalidayka ilayya almaseeru
YUSUFALI: And We have enjoined on man (to be good) to his parents: in travail upon travail did his mother bear him, and in years twain was his weaning: (hear the command), “Show gratitude to Me and to thy parents: to Me is (thy final) Goal.
PICKTHAL: And We have enjoined upon man concerning his partners – His mother beareth him in weakness upon weakness, and his weaning is in two years – Give thanks unto Me and unto thy parents. Unto Me is the journeying.
SHAKIR: And We have enjoined man in respect of his parents– his mother bears him with faintings upon faintings and his weaning takes two years– saying: Be grateful to Me and to both your parents; to Me is the eventual coming.
KHALIFA: We enjoined the human being to honor his parents. His mother bore him, and the load got heavier and heavier. It takes two years (of intensive care) until weaning. You shall be appreciative of Me, and of your parents. To Me is the ultimate destiny.
১৪। এবং আমি মানুষকে তার পিতামাতার প্রতি সদাচরণের নির্দ্দেশ দিয়েছি। তার জননী কষ্টের উপরে কষ্ট বরণ করে গর্ভে ধারণ করে,এবং তাহার [বুকের ] দুধ ছাড়ানো হয় দুই বৎসর বয়েসে ৩৫৯৬। [ আমার আদেশ শোন ] ” আমার প্রতি ও পিতা-মাতার প্রতি কৃতজ্ঞতা প্রকাশ কর। আমার নিকটেই তোমাদের [শেষ] প্রত্যার্বতন। ”
৩৫৯৬। মানব শিশু দুধ-দাঁত ওঠা সম্পূর্ণ হয় দুই বৎসর বয়েসে। সুতারাং বুকের দুধ পান করানোর সেটাই হবে সর্বোচ্চ সীমা। এই -ই আল্লাহ্ প্রদত্ত প্রকৃতির সয়ম সীমা। কিন্তু বর্তমান সভ্যতায় মানুষ এই সময় সীমাকে সংক্ষিপ্ত করে ফেলেছে।
