যাদের জন্যে শাস্তির আদেশ অবধারিত হয়েছে, তারা বলবে, হে আমাদের পালনকর্তা। এদেরকেই আমরা পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিলাম। আমরা তাদেরকে পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিলাম, যেমন আমরা পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছিলাম। আমরা আপনার সামনে দায়মুক্ত হচ্ছি। তারা কেবল আমাদেরই এবাদত করত না।
Those about whom the Word will have come true (to be punished) will say: ”Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray, as we were astray ourselves. We declare our innocence (from them) before You. It was not us they worshipped.”
قَالَ الَّذِينَ حَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَوْلُ رَبَّنَا هَؤُلَاء الَّذِينَ أَغْوَيْنَا أَغْوَيْنَاهُمْ كَمَا غَوَيْنَا تَبَرَّأْنَا إِلَيْكَ مَا كَانُوا إِيَّانَا يَعْبُدُونَ ‘
Qala allatheena haqqa AAalayhimu alqawlu rabbana haola-i allatheena aghwayna aghwaynahum kama ghawayna tabarra/na ilayka ma kanoo iyyana yaAAbudoona
YUSUFALI: Those against whom the charge will be proved, will say: “Our Lord! These are the ones whom we led astray: we led them astray, as we were astray ourselves: we free ourselves (from them) in Thy presence: it was not us they worshipped.”
PICKTHAL: Those concerning whom the Word will have come true will say: Our Lord! These are they whom we led astray. We led them astray even as we ourselves were astray. We declare our innocence before Thee: us they never worshipped.
SHAKIR: Those against whom the sentence has become confirmed will say: Our Lord! these are they whom we caused to err; we caused them to err as we ourselves did err; to Thee we declare ourselves to be clear (of them); they never served Us.
KHALIFA: Those who incurred the judgment will say, “Our Lord, these are the ones we misled; we misled them only because we ourselves had gone astray. We now devote ourselves totally to You. They were not really worshiping us.”
৬২। সেদিন [আল্লাহ্ ] তাদের ডেকে বলবেন, ” আমার অংশীদাররা কোথায় ? – যাদের তোমরা [ আমার শরীক বলে ] মনে করতে ? ”
৬৩। যাদের বিরুদ্ধে অপরাধ প্রমাণ হবে ৩৩৯৩ তারা বলবে, ” হে আমাদের প্রভু ! এরাই তারা যাদের আমরা বিপথে চালিত করেছিলাম। আমরা নিজেরা যেমন পথভ্রষ্ট হয়েছিলাম এদেরও তেমনি পথভ্রষ্ট করেছিলাম। [এখন] তোমার উপস্থিতিতে আমরা [ তাদের ] দায়িত্ব থেকে অব্যহতি চাচ্ছি। এরা শুধু আমাদেরই পূঁজা করতো না [ বরং নিজেদের প্রবৃত্তিরও পূঁজা করতো ] ৩৩৯৪।
৩৩৯৩। এই আয়াতটি ও পরের আয়াতে তাদেরকেই পরীক্ষা করা হয়েছে যারা পৃথিবীতে সত্যকে ত্যাগ করেছিলো এবং পূণ্যকাজকে অবহেলা করেছিলো ও মিথ্যা মনগড়া উপাস্যের উপাসনাতে মগ্ন ছিলো। এ সব উপাস্যকে তারা আল্লাহ্র সমকক্ষ শক্তিশালী মনে করতো। এরাই ছিলো পাপীদের পৃথিবীতে নেতা স্বরূপ। কিন্তু শেষ বিচারের দিনে এ সব নেতারা তাদের দায়িত্ব অস্বীকার করবে। তাদের ভাষ্য হবে , ” আমরা ভ্রান্ত ছিলাম। ওরা আমাদের উদাহরণ অনুসরণ করে কারণ ওরা তাতে আনন্দ পায় এবং ওদের জন্য তা ছিলো উপযুক্ত। ওরা আমাদের পূঁজা করে নাই প্রকৃত পক্ষে ওরা নিজেদের কামনা বাসনা চরিতার্থ করার উপায় অন্বেষণ করেছিলো।
৩৩৯৪। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১০: ২৮ ] যারা মিথ্যা উপাস্যের উপাসনা করে , তারা প্রকৃতপক্ষে আত্মপূঁজা ব্যতীত অন্য কিছুই করে না। অর্থ , সম্পদ, ক্ষমতা, প্রতিপত্তি বিভিন্ন বিষয় মানুষের মিথ্যা উপাস্য হতে পারে। যে নামেই তাকে ডাকুক না কেন, যখন তাদের উপরে শেষ বিচারের দিনে আল্লাহ্র শাস্তির খড়গ নেমে আসবে তখন উভয়েরই বোধদয় ঘটবে। প্রত্যেকটি পাপী তখন তাদের কাজের পরিণাম সম্বন্ধে সচেতন হবে। ঘটনার পরিণতি তাদের বিহ্বল করে তুলবে। তারা তখন ইচ্ছা করবে যে, তারা যদি সময় থাকতে আল্লাহ্র নবীর অনুসরণ করতো।
