তারা বলে, যদি আমরা আপনার সাথে সুপথে আসি, তবে আমরা আমাদের দেশ থেকে উৎখাত হব। আমি কি তাদের জন্যে একটি নিরাপদ হরম প্রতিষ্ঠিত করিনি? এখানে সর্বপ্রকার ফল-মূল আমদানী হয় আমার দেয়া রিযিকস্বরূপ। কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই জানে না।
And they say: ”If we follow the guidance with you, we would be snatched away from our land.” Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary (Makkah), to which are brought fruits of all kinds, a provision from Ourselves, but most of them know not.
وَقَالُوا إِن نَّتَّبِعِ الْهُدَى مَعَكَ نُتَخَطَّفْ مِنْ أَرْضِنَا أَوَلَمْ نُمَكِّن لَّهُمْ حَرَمًا آمِنًا يُجْبَى إِلَيْهِ ثَمَرَاتُ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ رِزْقًا مِن لَّدُنَّا وَلَكِنَّ أَكْثَرَهُمْ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Waqaloo in nattabiAAi alhuda maAAaka nutakhattaf min ardina awa lam numakkin lahum haraman aminan yujba ilayhi thamaratu kulli shay-in rizqan min ladunna walakinna aktharahum la yaAAlamoona
YUSUFALI: They say: “If we were to follow the guidance with thee, we should be snatched away from our land.” Have We not established for them a secure sanctuary, to which are brought as tribute fruits of all kinds,- a provision from Ourselves? but most of them understand not.
PICKTHAL: And they say: If we were to follow the Guidance with thee we should be torn out of our land. Have We not established for them a sure sanctuary, whereunto the produce of all things is brought (in trade), a provision from Our presence? But most of them know not.
SHAKIR: And they say: If we follow the guidance with you, we shall be carried off from our country. What ! have We not settled them in a safe, sacred territory to which fruits of every kind shall be drawn?– a sustenance from Us; but most of them do not know.
KHALIFA: They said, “If we follow your guidance, we will suffer persecution.” Did we not establish for them a Sacred Sanctuary, to which all kinds of fruits are offered, as a provision from us? Indeed, most of them do not know.
৫৭। তারা বলে, ” আমরা যদি তোমার সাথে সৎপথ অনুসরণ করি, তাহলে, আমাদের দেশ থেকে উৎখাত করা হবে ৩৩৮৯। ” আমি কি তাদের জন্য নিরাপদ আশ্রয়স্থল প্রতিষ্ঠা করি নাই ; যেখানে আহারের জন্য আমার দেয়া সব রকম ফল উপহার স্বরূপ নিয়ে আসা হয় ? কিন্তু তাদের অধিকাংশই তা বুঝতে অক্ষম।
৩৩৮৯। কোন কোন কোরেশ বলতো যে, ” আমরা ইসলামের মাঝে সত্যকে প্রত্যক্ষ করি , কিন্তু তা গ্রহণ করলে আমাদের দেশ থেকে উৎখাত করা হবে, ফলে আমরা আমাদের ভূমির উপরে আমাদের অধিকার হারাবো ,এবং অন্য লোকেরা তা অধিকার করে নেবে।” এখানে যে উত্তর দেয়া হয়েছে তার অর্থ দ্বিবিধ। একটি আক্ষরিক অন্যটি গভীর অর্থবোধক। আল্লাহ্ বলেছেন,
১) ” তোমরা তোমাদের ভূমির কথা চিন্তা করছো ? ; কেন আমি কি তোমাদের জন্য মক্কাকে নিরাপদ হারাম শরীফ করি নাই। [ নির্দ্দিষ্ট সীমানা দ্বারা চিহ্নিত মক্কার পবিত্র স্থানকে ‘হারাম ‘ বলা হয়, এই স্থানে কিছু কিছু কাজ নিষিদ্ধ আছে ] যদি তোমরা আল্লাহ্র হুকুম মেনে চল, তবে তোমাদের শক্তিশালী করা হবে, দুর্বল নয়।
২) মক্কা হচ্ছে আধ্যাত্মিক কল্যাণের ও নিরাপত্তার প্রতীক স্বরূপ। মানুষের কর্ম-ই তার আত্মাকে আলোকিত করে, অথবা অন্ধকারে নিমজ্জিত করে। সৎ কর্ম আত্মার আলো স্বরূপ, অসৎ কর্ম অন্ধকার স্বরূপ। তোমাদের ভয় কিসের ? তোমরা তো আল্লাহ্র নির্বাচিত দুর্গের মাঝে বাস করছো। যতই তোমরা আল্লাহ্র আশ্রয় প্রার্থনা করবে ততই তোমাদের নিরাপত্তা নিচ্ছিদ্র হবে।
