এবং স্ত্রীর শাস্তি রহিত হয়ে যাবে যদি সে আল্লাহর কসম খেয়ে চার বার সাক্ষ্য দেয় যে, তার স্বামী অবশ্যই মিথ্যাবাদী;
But it shall avert the punishment (of stoning to death) from her, if she bears witness four times by Allâh, that he (her husband) is telling a lie.
عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ
Wayadrao AAanha alAAathaba an tashhada arbaAAa shahadatin biAllahi innahu lamina alkathibeena
YUSUFALI: But it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie;
PICKTHAL: And it shall avert the punishment from her if she bear witness before Allah four times that the thing he saith is indeed false,
SHAKIR: And it shall avert the chastisement from her if she testify four times, bearing Allah to witness that he is most surely one of the liars;
KHALIFA: She shall be considered innocent if she swears by GOD four times that he is a liar.
০৮। কিন্তু স্ত্রীর শাস্তি রহিত হবে যদি সে চারবার আল্লাহ্র নামে শপথ করে সাক্ষ্য দেয় যে, তার স্বামীই মিথ্যাবাদী।
০৯। এবং পঞ্চম বারে বলে যে, তার স্বামী সত্যবাদী হলে তার নিজের উপরে নেমে আসবে আল্লাহ্র গজব।
১০। যদি তোমাদের উপরে আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহ ও দয়া না থাকতো এবং যদি আল্লাহ্ ক্ষমাশীল ও প্রজ্ঞাসম্পন্ন না হতেন [ তবে তোমরা ধ্বংস প্রাপ্ত হতে ] ২৯৬১।
২৯৬১। দেখুন আয়াত [ ২৪ : ১১ – ১৪ ] এবং টিকা ২৯৬২। এই আয়াতগুলি একটি নির্দ্দিষ্ট ঘটনাকে কেন্দ্র করে অবতীর্ণ করা হয়।
