হারুন তাদেরকে পুর্বেই বলেছিলেনঃ হে আমার কওম, তোমরা তো এই গো-বৎস দ্বারা পরীক্ষায় নিপতিত হয়েছ এবং তোমাদের পালনকর্তা দয়াময়। অতএব, তোমরা আমার অনুসরণ কর এবং আমার আদেশ মেনে চল।
And Hârûn (Aaron) indeed had said to them beforehand: ”O my people! You are being tried in this, and verily, your Lord is (Allâh) the Most Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order.”
وَلَقَدْ قَالَ لَهُمْ هَارُونُ مِن قَبْلُ يَا قَوْمِ إِنَّمَا فُتِنتُم بِهِ وَإِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ الرَّحْمَنُ فَاتَّبِعُونِي وَأَطِيعُوا أَمْرِي
Walaqad qala lahum haroonu min qablu ya qawmi innama futintum bihi wa-inna rabbakumu alrrahmanu faittabiAAoonee waateeAAoo amree
YUSUFALI: Aaron had already, before this said to them: “O my people! ye are being tested in this: for verily your Lord is (Allah) Most Gracious; so follow me and obey my command.”
PICKTHAL: And Aaron indeed had told them beforehand: O my people! Ye are but being seduced therewith, for lo! your Lord is the Beneficent, so follow me and obey my order.
SHAKIR: And certainly Haroun had said to them before: O my people! you are only tried by it, and surely your Lord is the Beneficent Allah, therefore follow me and obey my order.
KHALIFA: And Aaron had told them, “O my people, this is a test for you. Your only Lord is the Most Gracious, so follow me, and obey my commands.”

৯০। এর পূর্বেই হারুন ইতিমধ্যেই তাদের বলেছিলো, ” হে আমার সম্প্রদায় ! এর দ্বারা তো তোমাদের পরীক্ষা করা হচ্ছে ২৬১৩। নিশ্চয়ই তোমার প্রভু [আল্লাহ্ ] পরম করুণাময়। সুতারাং আমার অনুসরণ কর এবং আমার আদেশ মেনে চল ২৬১৪। ”
২৬১৩। দীর্ঘদিন মিশরে থাকার ফলে ইসরাঈলীরা মিশরের ভাবধারাতে প্রভাবিত ছিলো। আল্লাহ্র প্রচন্ড ক্ষমতা দর্শনের পরেও তারা সে প্রভাব মুক্ত হতে পারে নাই। তাদের আল্লাহ্ সামিরীর দ্বারা মিশরের মূর্তি পূঁজার দিকে প্রলোভিত করেন। তারা যেনো সামিরীর প্রভাব মুক্ত হয়ে শুধু মাত্র এক আল্লাহ্র উপাসনা করে। এ ছিলো আল্লাহ্র তরফ থেকে এক পরীক্ষা।
২৬১৪। বাইবেলে হারুনকে প্রধান অপরাধী হিসেবে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে যাকে আল্লাহ্ কর্তৃক মনোনীত মুসার সাহায্যকারী রূপে কোরাণে বর্ণিত। হারুনের দায়িত্বের বিপরীত ভাবধারাকে প্রকাশ করে [ দেখুন ৭ : ১৫০ ও টিকা ১১১৬ ]। অপর পক্ষে কোরাণের বক্তব্য সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ। কারণ হারুনকে হযরত মুসার সাহায্যকারী রূপে আল্লাহ্ মনোনীত করেছেন।। তাঁর পক্ষে সামিরীর তৈরী গোবৎসের পূঁজাতে অংশগ্রহণ সম্ভব নয়। মিশরবাসীর ষাড় দেবতা Osiris এর অনুকরণে সামিরী সোনার গোবৎসকে তৈরী করে যেনো ইসরাঈলীরা মিশরবাসীদের প্রভাবমুক্ত হতে না পারে।
