অতঃপর ফেরাউন তার সৈন্যবাহিনী নিয়ে তাদের পশ্চাদ্ধাবন করল এবং সমুদ্র তাদেরকে সম্পূর্ণরূপে নিমজ্জত করল।
Then Fir’aun (Pharaoh) pursued them with his hosts, but the sea-water completely overwhelmed them and covered them up.
فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِ فَغَشِيَهُم مِّنَ الْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ
FaatbaAAahum firAAawnu bijunoodihi faghashiyahum mina alyammi ma ghashiyahum
YUSUFALI: Then Pharaoh pursued them with his forces, but the waters completely overwhelmed them and covered them up.
PICKTHAL: Then Pharaoh followed them with his hosts and there covered them that which did cover them of the sea.
SHAKIR: And Firon followed them with his armies, so there came upon them of the sea that which came upon them.
KHALIFA: Pharaoh pursued them with his troops, but the sea overwhelmed them, as it was destined to overwhelm them.
৭৮। অতঃপর ফেরাউন তার সেনাবাহিনী নিয়ে তাদের অনুসরণ করলো, কিন্তু [ সমুদ্রের ] জলরাশি তাদের সম্পূর্ণ আচ্ছন্ন করে ঢেকে দিল।
৭৯। ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে সঠিক পথের পরিবর্তে ভুল পথে পরিচালিত করেছিলো ২৬০০।
২৬০০। নেতা ও দেশের নৃপতির দায়িত্ব ও কর্তব্য হচ্ছে সাধারণ জনসাধারণকে সঠিক পথে পরিচালিত করা। কিন্তু যে সব নেতা ও নৃপতি পাপী ও মন্দ , তারা জন সাধারণকে সঠিক পথের পরিবর্তে ভ্রান্ত পথে পরিচালিত করে। ফলে বিশাল জনগোষ্ঠির ধ্বংসের কারণ হয়।
