তিনি বললেনঃ এটা আমার লাঠি, আমি এর উপর ভর দেই এবং এর দ্বারা আমার ছাগপালের জন্যে বৃক্ষপত্র ঝেড়ে ফেলি এবং এতে আমার অন্যান্য কাজ ও চলে।
He said: ”This is my stick, whereon I lean, and wherewith I beat down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses.”
قَالَ هِيَ عَصَايَ أَتَوَكَّأُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَهُشُّ بِهَا عَلَى غَنَمِي وَلِيَ فِيهَا مَآرِبُ أُخْرَى
Qala hiya AAasaya atawakkao AAalayha waahushshu biha AAala ghanamee waliya feeha maaribu okhra
YUSUFALI: He said, “It is my rod: on it I lean; with it I beat down fodder for my flocks; and in it I find other uses.”
PICKTHAL: He said: This is my staff whereon I lean, and wherewith I bear down branches for my sheep, and wherein I find other uses.
SHAKIR: He said: This is my staff: I recline on it and I beat the leaves with it to make them fall upon my sheep, and I have other uses for it.
KHALIFA: He said, “This is my staff. I lean on it, herd my sheep with it, and I use it for other purposes.”
১৭। ” হে মুসা তোমার ডান হাতে কি ? ”
১৮। সে বলেছিলো, ” এটা আমার লাঠি ২৫৪৮। এর উপরে আমি ভর দিই ; এর দ্বারা আঘাত করে আমি আমার মেষপালের জন্য বৃক্ষপত্র ফেলে থাকি; এটা অন্যান্য ব্যবহারেও লাগে।”
২৫৪৮। এখানে থেকে শুরু হয়েছে মুসার লাঠির বিবরণ। মুসাকে যখন লাঠির সম্বন্ধে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হলো , তিনি সে সম্বন্ধে সাধারণ দৈনন্দিক ব্যবহারের বাইরে আর কিছু ভাবতে পারেন নাই।
