অতএব, অবশ্য তারা সত্যকে মিথ্যা বলেছে যখন তা তাদের কাছে এসেছে। বস্তুতঃ অচিরেই তাদের কাছে ঐ বিষয়ের সংবাদ আসবে, যার সাথে তারা উপহাস করত।
Indeed, they rejected the truth (the Qur’ân and Muhammad SAW) when it came to them, but there will come to them the news of that (the torment) which they used to mock at.
فَقَدْ كَذَّبُواْ بِالْحَقِّ لَمَّا جَاءهُمْ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِيهِمْ أَنبَاء مَا كَانُواْ بِهِ يَسْتَهْزِؤُونَ
Faqad kaththaboo bialhaqqi lamma jaahum fasawfa ya/teehim anbao ma kanoo bihi yastahzi-oona
YUSUFALI: And now they reject the truth when it reaches them: but soon shall they learn the reality of what they used to mock at.
PICKTHAL: And they denied the truth when it came unto them. But there will come unto them the tidings of that which they used to deride.
SHAKIR: So they have indeed rejected the truth when it came to them; therefore the truth of what they mocked at will shine upon them.
KHALIFA: Since they rejected the truth when it came to them, they have incurred the consequences of their heedlessness.
