এরা হলো সে সমস্ত লোক, যাদের মনের গোপন বিষয় সম্পর্কেও আল্লাহ তা’আলা অবগত। অতএব, আপনি ওদেরকে উপেক্ষা করুন এবং ওদেরকে সদুপদেশ দিয়ে এমন কোন কথা বলুন যা তাদের জন্য কল্যাণকর।
They (hypocrites) are those of whom Allâh knows what is in their hearts; so turn aside from them (do not punish them) but admonish them, and speak to them an effective word (i.e. to believe in Allâh, worship Him, obey Him, and be afraid of Him) to reach their innerselves.
أُولَـئِكَ الَّذِينَ يَعْلَمُ اللّهُ مَا فِي قُلُوبِهِمْ فَأَعْرِضْ عَنْهُمْ وَعِظْهُمْ وَقُل لَّهُمْ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ قَوْلاً بَلِيغًا
Ola-ika allatheena yaAAlamu Allahu ma fee quloobihim faaAArid AAanhum waAAithhum waqul lahum fee anfusihim qawlan baleeghan
YUSUFALI: Those men,-Allah knows what is in their hearts; so keep clear of them, but admonish them, and speak to them a word to reach their very souls.
PICKTHAL: Those are they, the secrets of whose hearts Allah knoweth. So oppose them and admonish them, and address them in plain terms about their souls.
SHAKIR: These are they of whom Allah knows what is in their hearts; therefore turn aside from them and admonish them, and speak to them effectual words concerning themselves.
KHALIFA: GOD is fully aware of their innermost intentions. You shall ignore them, enlighten them, and give them good advice that may save thei souls.
