এবং আমি লূতকে দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান এবং তাঁকে ঐ জনপদ থেকে উদ্ধার করেছিলাম, যারা নোংরা কাজে লিপ্ত ছিল। তারা মন্দ ও নাফরমান সম্প্রদায় ছিল।
And (remember) Lout (Lot), We gave him Hukman (right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) and (religious) knowledge, and We saved him from the town (folk) who practised Al-Khabâ’ith (evil, wicked and filthy deeds, etc.). Verily, they were a people given to evil, and were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient, to Allâh).
وَلُوطًا آتَيْنَاهُ حُكْمًا وَعِلْمًا وَنَجَّيْنَاهُ مِنَ الْقَرْيَةِ الَّتِي كَانَت تَّعْمَلُ الْخَبَائِثَ إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا قَوْمَ سَوْءٍ فَاسِقِينَ
Walootan ataynahu hukman waAAilman wanajjaynahu mina alqaryati allatee kanat taAAmalu alkhaba-itha innahum kanoo qawma saw-in fasiqeena
YUSUFALI: And to Lut, too, We gave Judgment and Knowledge, and We saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to Evil, a rebellious people.
PICKTHAL: And unto Lot we gave judgment and knowledge, and We delivered him from the community that did abominations. Lo! they were folk of evil, lewd.
SHAKIR: And (as for) Lut, We gave him wisdom and knowledge, and We delivered him from the town which wrought abominations; surely they were an evil people, transgressors;
KHALIFA: As for Lot, we granted him wisdom and knowledge, and we saved him from the community that practiced abominations; they were wicked and evil people.
৭৪। আমি লূতকেও দিয়েছিলাম প্রজ্ঞা ও জ্ঞান। এবং আমি তাকে রক্ষা করেছিলাম এমন এক জনপদ থেকে যারা লিপ্ত ছিলো অত্যন্ত ঘৃণ্য কাজে। সত্যিই তারা ছিলো এক মন্দ ও বিদ্রোহী সম্প্রদায় ২৭৩০।
২৭৩০। লূতের সম্প্রদায় এক জঘন্য পাপে লিপ্ত ছিলো। আল্লাহ্ লূতকে প্রেরণ করেন তাদের সাবধান করার জন্য। তিনি তাদের এই পাপ কাজের বিরুদ্ধাচারণ করেন, কিন্তু তারা তা প্রত্যাখান করে। তার ফলে তাদের উপরে আল্লাহ্র শাস্তি খড়গের মতো নেমে আসে, কিন্তু লূত ও তাঁর অনুসারীরা রক্ষা পায়। দেখুন আয়াত [ ১৫ : ৬১ – ৭৪ , ১১ : ৭৭ – ৮২ এবং ৭ : ৮০ – ৮৪ ]।
