বলুনঃ আমি তো কেবল ওহীর মাধ্যমেই তোমাদেরকে সতর্ক করি, কিন্তু বধিরদেরকে যখন সতর্ক করা হয়, তখন তারা সে সতর্কবাণী শোনে না।
Say (O Muhammad SAW): ”I warn you only by the revelation (from Allâh and not by the opinion of the religious scholars and others). But the deaf (who follow the religious scholars and others blindly) will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned [(i.e. one should follow only the Qur’ân and the Sunnah (legal ways, orders, acts of worship, statements of Prophet Muhammad SAW , as the Companions of the Prophet SAW did)].
قُلْ إِنَّمَا أُنذِرُكُم بِالْوَحْيِ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ الصُّمُّ الدُّعَاء إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ
Qul innama onthirukum bialwahyi wala yasmaAAu alssummu aldduAAaa itha ma yuntharoona
YUSUFALI: Say, “I do but warn you according to revelation”: But the deaf will not hear the call, (even) when they are warned!
PICKTHAL: Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I warn you only by the Inspiration. But the deaf hear not the call when they are warned.
SHAKIR: Say: I warn you only by revelation; and the deaf do not hear the call whenever they are warned.
KHALIFA: Say, “I am warning you in accordance with divine inspiration.” However, the deaf cannot hear the call, when they are warned.
৪৫। বল, ” আমি তো কেবল প্রত্যাদেশ অনুযায়ী সর্তক করে থাকি।” কিন্তু বধির তো ডাক শুনতে পারবে না যখন তাদের সর্তক করা হবে ২৭০৬।
২৭০৬। যে জেগে জেগে ঘুমায় তাকে যেমন জাগানো যায় না, সেরূপ যে শুনতে চায় না তার অন্তরে কিছু প্রবেশ করে না। তাকে কিছু শোনানো যায় না। ব্যক্তির যখন এরূপ অবস্থা প্রাপ্ত হয় সেই অবস্থাকেই এখানে বধিরতার সাথে তুলনা করা হয়েছে। যখন কেউ আল্লাহ্র করুণাময় আহ্বানকে ইচ্ছাকৃত ভাবে প্রত্যাখান করে, শ্রবণশক্তিকে বধির করে দেয়, তখন তার সেই কাজের দায়-দায়িত্ব ও পরিণতি তার নিজের। এ সব অবিমৃষ্যকারী কাপুরুষদের শেষ আচরণ পরবর্তী আয়াতে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। যখন আল্লাহ্র শাস্তি তাদের স্পর্শ করবে।
