কাফেররা যখন আপনাকে দেখে তখন আপনার সাথে ঠাট্টা করা ছাড়া তাদের আর কোন কাজ থাকে না, একি সেই ব্যক্তি, যে তোমাদের দেব-দেবীদের সমালোচনা করে? এবং তারাই তো রহমান’ এর আলোচনায় অস্বীকার করে।
And when those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allâh) see you (O Muhammad SAW), they take you not except for mockery (saying): ”Is this the one who talks (badly) about your gods?” While they disbelieve at the mention of the Most Beneficent (Allâh). [Tafsir. Al-Qurtubî].
وَإِذَا رَآكَ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي يَذْكُرُ آلِهَتَكُمْ وَهُم بِذِكْرِ الرَّحْمَنِ هُمْ كَافِرُونَ
Wa-itha raaka allatheena kafaroo in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahatha allathee yathkuru alihatakum wahum bithikri alrrahmani hum kafiroona
YUSUFALI: When the Unbelievers see thee, they treat thee not except with ridicule. “Is this,” (they say), “the one who talks of your gods?” and they blaspheme at the mention of (Allah) Most Gracious!
PICKTHAL: And when those who disbelieve behold thee, they but choose thee out for mockery, (saying): Is this he who maketh mention of your gods? And they would deny all mention of the Beneficent.
SHAKIR: And when those who disbelieve see you, they do not take you but for one to be scoffed at: Is this he who speaks of your gods? And they are deniers at the mention of the Beneficent Allah.
KHALIFA: When those who disbelieve see you, they ridicule you: “Is this the one who challenges your gods?” Meanwhile, they remain totally heedless of the message from the Most Gracious.
৩৬। অবিশ্বাসীরা যখন তোমাকে দেখে, তখন ওরা তোমাকে কেবল বিদ্রূপের পাত্ররূপেই গ্রহণ করে। [ তারা বলে ] “এই কি সেই যে তোমাদের দেব-দেবীদের সমালোচনা করে ? ” এবং তারা পরম করুণাময় [আল্লাহ্র ] উল্লেখে নিন্দা বাক্য প্রয়োগ করে ২৬৯৮।
২৬৯৮। এই আয়াতটিতে আমাদের নবীকে সম্বোধন করা হয়েছে; কিন্তু এর আবেদন সার্বজনীন। যারা প্রকৃত মোমেন বান্দা, তাদের নিকট প্রকৃত এবাদত ও মিথ্যা এবাদতের মধ্যে দুস্তর ব্যবধান। কাফের ও সন্দেহবাতিকদের নিকট এবাদত হাসি ঠাট্টার বিষয়বস্তু। তারা ধর্মকে হাসি ঠাট্টার বিষয়বস্তু রূপে গ্রহণ করে এবং মোমেন বান্দাদের ব্যঙ্গ বিদ্রূপ করে যেরূপ আরবের কাফেররা নবীকে করতো। তারা নবীকে শুধু ঠাট্টা বিদ্রূপই করতো না , তারা আল্লাহ্র নামের উল্লেখে মাত্র তার নিন্দা জ্ঞাপন করতো। এর উত্তর পরবর্তী আয়াতে দেয়া হয়েছে।
