বিষয়া বিনিবর্তন্তে নিরাহারস্য দেহিনঃ ।
রসবর্জং রসোঽপ্যস্য পরং দৃষ্ট্বা নিবর্ততে ॥ ২-৫৯॥

বিষয়াঃ = objects for sense enjoyment
বিনিবর্তন্তে = are practiced to be refrained from
নিরাহারস্য = by negative restrictions
দেহীনঃ = for the embodied
রসবর্জং = giving up the taste
রসঃ = sense of enjoyment
অপি = although there is
অস্য = his
পরং = far superior things
দৃষ্ট্বা = by experiencing
নিবর্ততে = he ceases from.
