শ্রীভগবানুবাচ ।
লোকেঽস্মিন্ দ্বিবিধা নিষ্ঠা পুরা প্রোক্তা ময়ানঘ ।
জ্ঞানয়োগেন সাঙ্খ্যানাং কর্ময়োগেন য়োগিনাম্ ॥ ৩-৩॥

লোকে = in the world
অস্মিন্ = this
দ্বিবিধা = two kinds of
নিষ্ঠা = faith
পুরা = formerly
প্রোক্তা = were said
ময়া = by Me
অনঘ = O sinless one
জ্ঞানয়োগেন = by the linking process of knowledge
সাঙ্খ্যানাং = of the empiric philosophers
কর্ময়োগেণ = by the linking process of devotion
য়োগিনাং = of the devotees.
