তার কাছে আমার আয়াতসমূহ পাঠ করা হলে সে বলে, পুরাকালের উপকথা।
When Our Verses (of the Qur’ân) are recited to him he says: ”Tales of the ancients!”
إِذَا تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ آيَاتُنَا قَالَ أَسَاطِيرُ الْأَوَّلِينَ
Itha tutla AAalayhi ayatuna qala asateeru al-awwaleena
YUSUFALI: When Our Signs are rehearsed to him, he says, “Tales of the ancients!”
PICKTHAL: Who, when thou readest unto him Our revelations, saith: (Mere) fables of the men of old.
SHAKIR: When Our communications are recited to him, he says: Stories of those of yore.
KHALIFA: When our revelations are recited to him, he says, “Tales from the past!”
১২। পাপিষ্ঠ, সীমালংঘনকারীরা ব্যতীত আর কেহ তা অস্বীকার করে না।
১৩। যখন তার নিকট আমার আয়াত সমূহ আবৃত্তি করা হয়, সে বলে, ” ইহা অতীতকালের কাহিনী। ” ৬০১৬
৬০১৬। দেখুন অনুরূপ সূরা [ ৬ : ২৫ ] আয়াত; [ ৬৮ : ১৫ ] ইত্যাদি। এই আয়াতের মাধ্যমে পাপিষ্ঠ ও সীমালংঘনকারীদের মানসিকতাকে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে। এরা ঘৃণা সহকারে সত্যকে প্রত্যাখান করে এবং এমন ভান করে যে সত্য হচ্ছে মিথ্যা।
