হে নবী! কাফের ও মুনাফিকদের বিরুদ্ধে জেহাদ করুন এবং তাদের প্রতি কঠোর হোন। তাদের ঠিকানা জাহান্নাম। সেটা কতই না নিকৃষ্ট স্থান।
O Prophet (Muhammad SAW)! Strive hard against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be severe against them, their abode will be Hell, and worst indeed is that destination.
يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ جَاهِدِ الْكُفَّارَ وَالْمُنَافِقِينَ وَاغْلُظْ عَلَيْهِمْ وَمَأْوَاهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ وَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
Ya ayyuha alnnabiyyu jahidi alkuffara waalmunafiqeena waoghluth AAalayhim wama/wahum jahannamu wabi/sa almaseeru
YUSUFALI: O Prophet! Strive hard against the Unbelievers and the Hypocrites, and be firm against them. Their abode is Hell,- an evil refuge (indeed).
PICKTHAL: O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey’s end.
SHAKIR: O Prophet! strive hard against the unbelievers and the hypocrites, and be hard against them; and their abode is hell; and evil is the resort.
KHALIFA: O prophet, struggle against the disbelievers and the hypocrites and be stern with them. Their abode is Gehenna, and a miserable destiny.
৯। হে নবী ! অবিশ্বাসী ও মোনাফেকদেরে বিরুদ্ধে কঠিন সংগ্রাম কর, এবং তাদের বিরুদ্ধে কঠোর হও। তাদের বাসস্থান হবে জাহান্নাম [ সত্যিই ] তা কত নিকৃষ্ট আশ্রয়স্থল ৫৫৪৫।
৫৫৪৫। দেখুন আয়াত [ ৯ : ৭৩ ] যেখানে মোনাফেক ও কাফেরদের সম্বন্ধে একই ভাষা ব্যবহার করা হয়েছে। এখানে এই আয়াতে মন্দ ও দুষ্টের মানসিকতা সম্বন্ধে আলোকপাত করা হয়েছে। পূণ্যাত্মাদের সাহচর্যের সুযোগ দান সত্বেও এ সব পাপীরা তাদের পাপ কার্য থেকে বিরত থাকে না। যেহেতু এই সূরাটি প্রধানতঃ নারীদের সম্বন্ধে আলোচনা করা হয়েছে, সে কারণে নীচের আয়াতে দুজন নারীর উদাহরণকে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে যারা পূণ্যাত্মাদের সাহচর্যেও নিজেদের সংশোধন করতে অক্ষম হয়েছিলো।
