তোমাদের স্ত্রীদের মধ্যে যাদের ঋতুবর্তী হওয়ার আশা নেই, তাদের ব্যাপারে সন্দেহ হলে তাদের ইদ্দত হবে তিন মাস। আর যারা এখনও ঋতুর বয়সে পৌঁছেনি, তাদেরও অনুরূপ ইদ্দতকাল হবে। গর্ভবর্তী নারীদের ইদ্দতকাল সন্তানপ্রসব পর্যন্ত। যে আল্লাহকে ভয় করে, আল্লাহ তার কাজ সহজ করে দেন।
And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the ’Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubts (about their periods), is three months, and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their ’Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death] . And for those who are pregnant (whether they are divorced or their husbands are dead), their ’Iddah (prescribed period) is until they deliver (their burdens), and whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him.
وَاللَّائِي يَئِسْنَ مِنَ الْمَحِيضِ مِن نِّسَائِكُمْ إِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ فَعِدَّتُهُنَّ ثَلَاثَةُ أَشْهُرٍ وَاللَّائِي لَمْ يَحِضْنَ وَأُوْلَاتُ الْأَحْمَالِ أَجَلُهُنَّ أَن يَضَعْنَ حَمْلَهُنَّ وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مِنْ أَمْرِهِ يُسْرًا
Waalla-ee ya-isna mina almaheedi min nisa-ikum ini irtabtum faAAiddatuhunna thalathatu ashhurin waalla-ee lam yahidna waolatu al-ahmali ajaluhunna an yadaAAna hamlahunna waman yattaqi Allaha yajAAal lahu min amrihi yusran
YUSUFALI: Such of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the prescribed period, if ye have any doubts, is three months, and for those who have no courses (it is the same): for those who carry (life within their wombs), their period is until they deliver their burdens: and for those who fear Allah, He will make their path easy.
PICKTHAL: And for such of your women as despair of menstruation, if ye doubt, their period (of waiting) shall be three months, along with those who have it not. And for those with child, their period shall be till they bring forth their burden. And whosoever keepeth his duty to Allah, He maketh his course easy for him.
SHAKIR: And (as for) those of your women who have despaired of menstruation, if you have a doubt, their prescribed time shall be three months, and of those too who have not had their courses; and (as for) the pregnant women, their prescribed time is that they lay down their burden; and whoever is careful of (his duty to) Allah He will make easy for him his affair.
KHALIFA: As for the women who have reached menopause, if you have any doubts, their interim shall be three months. As for those who do not menstruate, and discover that they are pregnant, their interim ends upon giving birth. Anyone who reverences GOD, He makes everything easy for him.
৪। তোমাদের যে সব স্ত্রীদের ঋতুমতী হওয়ার বয়েস অতিক্রম করে গেছে, এবং যাদের ঋতু এখনও হয় নাই, যদি তাদের ইদ্দতকাল সম্বন্ধে কোন সন্দেহ থাকে, তবে তাদের ইদ্দতকাল হবে তিন মাস ৫৫১৩। আর গর্ভবতী নারীদের জন্য ইদ্দতকাল সন্তান প্রসব পর্যন্ত। যে আল্লাহকে ভয় করে আল্লাহ্ তার সমস্যার সমাধান সহজ করে দেবেন। ৫৫১৪
৫৫১৩। দেখুন সূরা [ ২ : ২২৮ ] আয়াত। তালাকের পূর্বে স্ত্রীর ‘ইদ্দত’ বা বিচ্ছিন্ন থাকার মেয়াদ কাল বর্ণনা করা হয়েছিলো তিন রজঃস্রাব কাল। কিন্তু যে সব স্ত্রীলোকের ঋতুমতী হওয়ার আশা নাই বা সন্দেহ থাকে তাদের জন্য ক্যালেন্ডারের তিনমাস ধার্য করা হয়েছে। এ সময়ের মধ্যে পরিষ্কার ভাবে বোঝা যাবে যে উক্ত নারীগণ অন্তঃস্বত্তা কি না। যদি তারা অন্তঃস্বত্তা হয় সে ক্ষেত্রে ইদ্দতকাল হবে বাচ্চা প্রসব না করা পর্যন্ত।
৫৫১৪। দেখুন উপরের টিকা নং ৫৫১১। এখানে আল্লাহ্ ঘোষণা করেছেন যে, যদি কেউ প্রকৃতই অন্তর থেকে আল্লাহকে ভয় করে এবং আল্লাহ্র সন্তুষ্টি লাভের আশায় ন্যায়ের জন্য কাজ করে এবং এ কারণে নিজের ক্ষুদ্র স্বার্থ ত্যাগ করতে দ্বিধা বোধ করে না, সেরূপ ক্ষেত্রে আল্লাহ্র সাহায্য অবশ্যাম্ভবী। তার জীবনের সকল বাধা বিপত্তি দূর হয়ে যাবে। তার সকল বাধা-বিপত্তি সত্য ও সুন্দরের স্পর্শে বৃহত্তর ও কল্যাণকর রূপে পরিসমাপ্তি লাভ করবে। আমাদের প্রিয় নবীর জীবনের মাধ্যমেও আমরা এই সত্যকে প্রতিভাত দেখি বারে বারে।
