তারাই বলেঃ আমরা যদি মদীনায় প্রত্যাবর্তন করি তবে সেখান থেকে সবল অবশ্যই দুর্বলকে বহিস্কৃত করবে। শক্তি তো আল্লাহ তাঁর রসূল ও মুমিনদেরই কিন্তু মুনাফিকরা তা জানে না।
They (hyprocrites) say: ”If we return to Al-Madinah, indeed the more honourable (’Abdûllah bin Ubai bin Salul, the chief of hyprocrites at AlMadinah) will expel therefrom the meaner (i.e. Allâh’s Messenger SAW).” But honour, power and glory belong to Allâh, His Messenger (Muhammad SAW), and to the believers, but the hypocrites know not.
يَقُولُونَ لَئِن رَّجَعْنَا إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ لَيُخْرِجَنَّ الْأَعَزُّ مِنْهَا الْأَذَلَّ وَلِلَّهِ الْعِزَّةُ وَلِرَسُولِهِ وَلِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَلَكِنَّ الْمُنَافِقِينَ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
Yaqooloona la-in rajaAAna ila almadeenati layukhrijanna al-aAAazzu minha al-athalla walillahi alAAizzatu walirasoolihi walilmu/mineena walakinna almunafiqeena la yaAAlamoona
YUSUFALI: They say, “If we return to Medina, surely the more honourable (element) will expel therefrom the meaner.” But honour belongs to Allah and His Messenger, and to the Believers; but the Hypocrites know not.
PICKTHAL: They say: Surely, if we return to Al-Madinah the mightier will soon drive out the weaker; when might belongeth to Allah and to His messenger and to the believers; but the hypocrites know not.
SHAKIR: They say: If we return to Medina, the mighty will surely drive out the meaner therefrom; and to Allah belongs the might and to His Messenger and to the believers, but the hypocrites do not know.
KHALIFA: They say, “If we go back to the city, the powerful therein will evict the weak (and we will be victimized).” (They should know that) all dignity belongs to GOD and His messenger, and the believers. However, the hypocrites do not know.
৮। তারা বলে, “যদি আমরা মদিনায় প্রত্যাবর্তন করি ৫৪৭৫, তবে অবশ্য সম্মানীয় লোকেরা সেখান থেকে অধমদের [ মুসলমানদের ] বিতাড়িত করবে।” কিন্তু সম্মান তো আল্লাহ্, তাঁর রসুল, এবং মোমেনদের অধিকারভূক্ত। কিন্তু মোনাফেকরা তা বুঝতে পারে না।
৫৪৭৫। এই বাক্যটি মদিনার মোনাফেক সর্দার আবদুল্লাহ্ ইবনে উবাইএর মুখনিঃসৃত। চতুর্থ অথবা পঞ্চম হিজরীতে বানু মুসতালিকের বিরুদ্ধে অভিযানে মুসলমানেরা যখন মদিনার বাহিরে যায় তখন সে মুসলমানদের মাঝে বিভেদ সৃষ্টির উদ্দেশ্যে এ সব কথা বলে, এ স্থলে ‘সম্মানীয়’ শব্দটি দ্বারা মুনাফিক এবং অধম দ্বারা ‘মুমিনকে’ বুঝানো হয়েছে। তার বক্তব্য ছিলো, এই যে, মদিনায় ফিরে যেয়ে সম্মানীরা [ আনসাররেরা ] বহিরাগত [ অর্থাৎ মোহাজের ] সব বাজে লোকদের বহিষ্কার করে দেবে। এ সব কথা বলার উদ্দেশ্য হচ্ছে তার মনে ছিলো নেতৃত্বের লোভ। সে রাসুলুল্লাহ্র (সা) নেতৃত্বে মনের মাঝে হিংসা অনুভব করতো এবং মুসলমানদের মদিনাতে আগমন এবং মহানবীর নেতৃত্বের সাংগঠনিক ক্ষমতাকে স্বীকার করা তার পক্ষে কিছুতেই সম্ভব হচ্ছিল না। সে কারণে সে অপকৌশলের আশ্রয় গ্রহণ করে যেনো মদিনাবাসীদের বিভ্রান্ত করতে পারে।
