আপনি কি মুনাফিকদেরকে দেখেন নি? তারা তাদের কিতাবধারী কাফের ভাইদেরকে বলেঃ তোমরা যদি বহিস্কৃত হও, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের সাথে দেশ থেকে বের হয়ে যাব এবং তোমাদের ব্যাপারে আমরা কখনও কারও কথা মানব না। আর যদি তোমরা আক্রান্ত হও, তবে আমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদেরকে সাহায্য করব। আল্লাহ তা’আলা সাক্ষ্য দেন যে, ওরা নিশ্চয়ই মিথ্যাবাদী।
Have you (O Muhammad SAW) not observed the hypocrites who say to their friends among the people of the Scripture who disbelieve: ”(By Allâh) If you are expelled, we (too) indeed will go out with you, and we shall never obey any one against you, and if you are attacked (in fight), we shall indeed help you.” But Allâh is Witness, that they verily, are liars.
أَلَمْ تَر إِلَى الَّذِينَ نَافَقُوا يَقُولُونَ لِإِخْوَانِهِمُ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَئِنْ أُخْرِجْتُمْ لَنَخْرُجَنَّ مَعَكُمْ وَلَا نُطِيعُ فِيكُمْ أَحَدًا أَبَدًا وَإِن قُوتِلْتُمْ لَنَنصُرَنَّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَشْهَدُ إِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ
Alam tara ila allatheena nafaqoo yaqooloona li-ikhwanihimu allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabi la-in okhrijtum lanakhrujanna maAAakum wala nuteeAAu feekum ahadan abadan wa-in qootiltum lanansurannakum waAllahu yashhadu innahum lakathiboona
YUSUFALI: Hast thou not observed the Hypocrites say to their misbelieving brethren among the People of the Book? – “If ye are expelled, we too will go out with you, and we will never hearken to any one in your affair; and if ye are attacked (in fight) we will help you”. But Allah is witness that they are indeed liars.
PICKTHAL: Hast thou not observed those who are hypocrites, (how) they tell their brethren who disbelieve among the People of the Scripture: If ye are driven out, we surely will go out with you, and we will never obey anyone against you, and if ye are attacked we verily will help you. And Allah beareth witness that they verily are liars.
SHAKIR: Have you not seen those who have become hypocrites? They say to those of their brethren who disbelieve from among the followers of the Book: If you are driven forth, we shall certainly go forth with you, and we will never obey any one concerning you, and if you are fought against, we will certainly help you, and Allah bears witness that they are most surely liars.
KHALIFA: Have you noted those who are plagued with hypocrisy, and how they said to their companions in disbelief among the people of the scripture, “If you are evicted we will go out with you, and will never obey anyone who opposes you. If anyone fights you, we will fight on your side.” GOD bears witness that they are liars.

১১। তুমি কি মোনাফেকদের লক্ষ্য কর নাই, কিতাব প্রাপ্তদের ৫৩৮৬ মধ্যে যারা কাফের তারা তাদের বলে, ” যদি তোমাদের দেশ [থেকে] বহিষ্কার করা হয় তবে আমরাও তোমাদের সাথে বের হয়ে যাব, এবং আমরা তোমাদের ব্যাপারে কখনও কারও কথা শুনবো না। এবং তোমরা যদি [যুদ্ধে ] আক্রান্ত হও, আমরা তোমাদের সাহায্য করবো ”। কিন্তু আল্লাহ্ সাক্ষী, তারা অবশ্যই মিথ্যাবাদী ৫৩৮৭।
৫৩৮৬। মদিনার মোনাফেকরা বানু নাদীর গোত্রের ইহুদীদের আশ্বাস দান করেছিলো যে, তারা সর্বদা ইহুদীদের সমর্থন জানাবে। তাদের ধারণা হয়েছিলো যে, তারা যদি নবীর পক্ষ ত্যাগ করে তবে মুসলমানদের দুর্বল করে ফেলবে, এবং এভাবেই তারা ইহুদীদের রক্ষা করতে সমর্থ হবে। কিন্তু এ কাজের জন্য যদি আত্মহত্যা ও আত্মোৎসর্গের প্রয়োজন হয়, মোনাফেকরা তা করতে রাজী নয়। যদি ইহুদীরা সুবিধাজনক অবস্থানে থাকতো, বিজিত দল হতো, তবে অবশ্যই মোনাফেকরা তাদের সাথে থাকতো। কিন্তু কারও বিপদ ও বিপর্যয়ে মোনাফেকরা কখনও তাদের সাহায্যের হাত প্রসারিত করবে না। এটা তাদের এক অনন্য বৈশিষ্ট্য। প্রকৃত সত্য হচ্ছে এই যে, যুদ্ধ করার মত সাহস, মনোবল বা উৎসাহ তাদের ছিলো না। মুসলিম সৈন্যদের শৃঙ্খলা, সাহসিকতা ও বিশ্বস্ততার নিকট তাদের আচরণ ছিলো ভীতু ও কাপুরুষের ন্যায়। মোনাফেকরা বানু নাদের গোত্রকে দেয়া প্রতিশ্রুতি পালন করে নাই।
৫৩৮৭। এই আয়াতে আল্লাহ্ মোনাফেকদের মিথ্যাবাদী বলে সম্বোধন করেছেন। যখন বানু নাদের গোষ্ঠি বিপদে পতিত হলো, এ সব মোনাফেকরা প্রতিশ্রুতি সত্বেও ইহুদীদের সাহায্যের জন্য তাদের একটা অঙ্গুলিও উত্তোলন করলো না। তাদের তা করার কোন ইচ্ছাও ছিলো না। কারণ তারা তাদের প্রতিশ্রুতির ব্যাপারে আন্তরিক ছিলো না। এটা মোনাফেকদের বৈশিষ্ট্য। আল্লাহ্ সকলের অন্তরের চিন্তা ও ভাবনা খোলা বই এর ন্যায় পাঠ করতে পারেন। দেখুন সূরা [ ৪৭: ২৬ ] আয়াত ও টিকা ৪৮৫০। মোনাফেকের প্রধান বৈশিষ্ট্য তারা হবে মিথ্যাবাদী।
