আপনি কি ভেবে দেখেননি, যাদেরকে কানাঘুষা করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছিল অতঃপর তারা নিষিদ্ধ কাজেরই পুনরাবৃত্তি করে এবং পাপাচার, সীমালংঘন এবং রসূলের অবাধ্যতার বিষয়েই কানাঘুষা করে। তারা যখন আপনার কাছে আসে, তখন আপনাকে এমন ভাষায় সালাম করে, যদ্দ্বারা আল্লাহ আপনাকে সালাম করেননি। তারা মনে মনে বলেঃ আমরা যা বলি, তজ্জন্যে আল্লাহ আমাদেরকে শাস্তি দেন না কেন? জাহান্নামই তাদের জন্যে যথেষ্ট। তারা তাতে প্রবেশ করবে। কতই না নিকৃষ্ট সেই জায়গা।
Have you not seen those who were forbidden to hold secret counsels, and afterwards returned to that which they had been forbidden, and conspired together for sin and wrong doing and disobedience to the Messenger (Muhammad SAW ). And when they come to you, they greet you with a greeting wherewith Allâh greets you not, and say within themselves: ”Why should Allâh punish us not for what we say?” Hell will be sufficient for them, they will burn therein, and worst indeed is that destination!
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ نُهُوا عَنِ النَّجْوَى ثُمَّ يَعُودُونَ لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَيَتَنَاجَوْنَ بِالْإِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ الرَّسُولِ وَإِذَا جَاؤُوكَ حَيَّوْكَ بِمَا لَمْ يُحَيِّكَ بِهِ اللَّهُ وَيَقُولُونَ فِي أَنفُسِهِمْ لَوْلَا يُعَذِّبُنَا اللَّهُ بِمَا نَقُولُ حَسْبُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ يَصْلَوْنَهَا فَبِئْسَ الْمَصِيرُ
Alam tara ila allatheena nuhoo AAani alnnajwa thumma yaAAoodoona lima nuhoo AAanhu wayatanajawna bial-ithmi waalAAudwani wamaAAsiyati alrrasooli wa-itha jaooka hayyawka bima lam yuhayyika bihi Allahu wayaqooloona fee anfusihim lawla yuAAaththibuna Allahu bima naqoolu hasbuhum jahannamu yaslawnaha fabi/sa almaseeru
YUSUFALI: Turnest thou not thy sight towards those who were forbidden secret counsels yet revert to that which they were forbidden (to do)? And they hold secret counsels among themselves for iniquity and hostility, and disobedience to the Messenger. And when they come to thee, they salute thee, not as Allah salutes thee, (but in crooked ways): And they say to themselves, “Why does not Allah punish us for our words?” Enough for them is Hell: In it will they burn, and evil is that destination!
PICKTHAL: Hast thou not observed those who were forbidden conspiracy and afterward returned to that which they had been forbidden, and (now) conspire together for crime and wrongdoing and disobedience toward the messenger? And when they come unto thee they greet thee with a greeting wherewith Allah greeteth thee not, and say within themselves: Why should Allah punish us for what we say? Hell will suffice them; they will feel the heat thereof – a hapless journey’s end!
SHAKIR: Have you not seen those who are forbidden secret counsels, then they return to what they are forbidden, and they hold secret counsels for sin and revolt and disobedience to the Messenger, and when they come to you they greet you with a greeting with which Allah does not greet you, and they say in themselves: Why does not Allah punish us for what we say? Hell is enough for them; they shall enter it, and evil is the resort.
KHALIFA: Have you noted those who were enjoined from conspiring secretly, then insist on conspiring? They conspire to commit sin, transgression, and disobedience of the messenger. When they come to you, they greet you with a greeting other than that decreed by GOD. They say inside themselves, “GOD will not punish us for our utterances.” Their only requital is Gehenna, wherein they burn; what a miserable destiny.
৮। তুমি কি সেই সকল লোকদের দেখ নাই, যাদের গোপন পরামর্শ করতে নিষেধ করা হয়েছিলো ৫৩৪২ ? অথচ তাদের যা [ করতে ] নিষেধ করা হয়েছিলো তারা তারই পুনরাবৃত্তি করে। এবং [ তারা ] পাপ কাজ, অত্যাচার এবং রসুলের হুকুম অমান্য করার জন্য নিজেদের মধ্যে গোপন পরামর্শ করে। আর যখন তারা তোমার নিকট আসে, তখন তারা তোমাকে এমন [ বক্র ] কথা দ্বারা সালাম [ সম্ভাষণ ] করে, ৫৩৪৩ যার দ্বারা আল্লাহ্ তোমাকে সালাম করেন নাই। এবং তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে বলে, ” আমরা যা বলি তার জন্য আল্লাহ্ আমাদের শাস্তি দেন না কেন ৫৩৪৪ ?” তাদের জন্য জাহান্নামই যথেষ্ট। উহার মাঝে তারা জ্বলতে থাকবে, কত মন্দ সেই গন্তব্যস্থল।
৫৩৪২। মদিনার মুসলিম উম্মাহ্ ধীরে ধীরে যখন শক্তি সংগ্রহ করে শক্তিশালী জাতিরূপে প্রতিষ্ঠিত হওয়ার পথে, সে সময়ে ইসলামের বিরুদ্ধ শক্তিরা প্রকাশ্য সমরে বিজয় লাভ সম্ভব নয় জেনে গোপনে ইসলাম এবং রাসুলুল্লাহ্ (সা) বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্রে লিপ্ত হয়। এই ষড়যন্ত্রের নেতা ছিলো মদিনার ইহুদীরা যারা ইসলামের অভ্যুত্থানে ছিলো চরম অসন্তুষ্ট এবং মোনাফেকেরা যারা ছিলো নামমাত্র মুসলমান কিন্তু সুযোগ সন্ধানী। এদের ষড়যন্ত্রের কলাকৌশল সম্বন্ধে কোরানের বিভিন্ন আয়াতে বিভিন্ন সময়ে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে যেমন [ ২ : ৮-১ ৬ ] ; এবং [ ৪ : ১৪২ – ১৪৫ ]।
৫৩৪৩। আল্লাহ্ রাসুলকে (সা) সম্বোধন করেছেন ‘Salam’ যার অর্থ শান্তি। কিন্তু রাসুলের (সা ) বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্রকারীরা এই অভিবাদনের শব্দকে বিকৃত করে বলে ‘Sam’ যার অর্থ ‘মৃত্যু বা ধ্বংস ‘। তারা সালামের শান্তির পরিবর্তে এই শব্দটি দ্বারা রাসুলকে সম্ভাষণ করতো। কারণ প্রকাশ্যে তারা তাদের মনের ভাবকে প্রকাশ করতে সাহস পেতো না। বিকৃত উচ্চারণ দ্বারা তারা সাধারণ মুসলিমদের ধোঁকা দিলেও তা ছিলো তাদের অন্তরের বিষোদ্গরণের একটি পন্থা মাত্র। বাইরে তাদের সম্ভাষণ ছিলো নম্র, ভদ্র ও শান্ত, কিন্তু তা ছিলো তাদের অন্তরের গরল ঢাকার উপায় স্বরূপ।
৫৩৪৪। ইসলামের শত্রুরা কৌশলপূর্ণ প্রতারণার মাধ্যমে তাদের বিকৃত মানসিকতাকে চরিতার্থ করছিলো এবং নিজেদের কৃতিত্বে তারা নিজেরাই ছিলো বিমোহিত। তারা নিজেদের মধ্যে হাসাহাসি করতো যে, “কেন আল্লাহ্ তাদের এই কৌশলপূর্ণ প্রতারণার জন্য শাস্তি দান করছেন না ?” এর উত্তর হচ্ছে : তাদের জন্য শাস্তি নির্ধারিত করা হয়েছে এবং তা অবশ্যই ভোগ করতে হবে। যদি এই পৃথিবীতে নাও হয় পরলোকে অবশ্যই তারা তা ভোগ করবে। কারণ পৃথিবীতে অনেক সময়েই আল্লাহ্ তাদের সময় ও সুযোগ দিয়ে থাকেন, তারা যেনো অনুতাপের মাধ্যমে আত্মসংশোধন দ্বারা এই সুযোগ গ্রহণ করে।
