আমি নূহ ও ইব্রাহীমকে রসূলরূপে প্রেরণ করেছি এবং তাদের বংশধরের মধ্যে নবুওয়ত ও কিতাব অব্যাহত রেখেছি। অতঃপর তাদের কতক সৎপথপ্রাপ্ত হয়েছে এবং অধিকাংশই হয়েছে পাপাচারী।
And indeed, We sent Nûh (Noah) and Ibrahîm (Abraham), and placed in their offspring Prophethood and Scripture, and among them there is he who is guided, but many of them are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا نُوحًا وَإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَجَعَلْنَا فِي ذُرِّيَّتِهِمَا النُّبُوَّةَ وَالْكِتَابَ فَمِنْهُم مُّهْتَدٍ وَكَثِيرٌ مِّنْهُمْ فَاسِقُونَ
Walaqad arsalna noohan wa-ibraheema wajaAAalna fee thurriyyatihima alnnubuwwata waalkitaba faminhum muhtadin wakatheerun minhum fasiqoona
YUSUFALI: And We sent Noah and Abraham, and established in their line Prophethood and Revelation: and some of them were on right guidance. But many of them became rebellious transgressors.
PICKTHAL: And We verily sent Noah and Abraham and placed the prophethood and the scripture among their seed, and among them there is he who goeth right, but many of them are evil-livers.
SHAKIR: And certainly We sent Nuh and Ibrahim and We gave to their offspring the (gift of) prophecy and the Book; so there are among them those who go aright, and most of them are transgressors.
KHALIFA: We sent Noah and Abraham, and we granted their descendants prophethood and the scripture. Some of them were guided, while many were wicked.

২৬। এবং আমি প্রেরণ করেছিলাম নূহ্ এবং ইব্রাহীমকে এবং তাদের [ বংশধরদের ] মাঝে নবুয়ত ও প্রত্যাদেশের ধারাবাহিকতা প্রতিষ্ঠিত করি। তাদের মাঝে অনেকে ছিলো সঠিক পথে ৫৩১৯ কিন্তু অধিকাংশই ছিলো বিদ্রোহী ও সীমালংঘনকারী।
৫৩১৯। “অধিকাংশই ছিলো বিদ্রোহী ও সীমালংঘনকারী ” – অর্থাৎ তাদের বংশধরদের কথা এখানে বলা হয়েছে। তাদের নিকট যে কিতাব প্রেরণ করা হয়েছিলো,কালের পরিক্রমায় তা তারা বিকৃত করে ফেলে এবং আল্লাহ্র পথ পরিত্যাগ করে নিজস্ব মনগড়া পথের অনুসরণ করে এভাবেই তারা সীমালঙ্ঘনকারীরূপে পরিচিতি লাভ করে।
