যে ব্যক্তি তার পালনকর্তার পক্ষ থেকে আগত নিদর্শন অনুসরণ করে, সে কি তার সমান, যার কাছে তার মন্দ কর্ম শোভনীয় করা হয়েছে এবং যে তার খেয়াল-খুশীর অনুসরণ করে।
Is he who is on a clear proof from his Lord, like those for whom their evil deeds that they do are beautified for them, while they follow their own lusts (evil desires)?
أَفَمَن كَانَ عَلَى بَيِّنَةٍ مِّن رَّبِّهِ كَمَن زُيِّنَ لَهُ سُوءُ عَمَلِهِ وَاتَّبَعُوا أَهْوَاءهُمْ
Afaman kana AAala bayyinatin min rabbihi kaman zuyyina lahu soo-o AAamalihi waittabaAAoo ahwaahum
YUSUFALI: Is then one who is on a clear (Path) from his Lord, no better than one to whom the evil of his conduct seems pleasing, and such as follow their own lusts?
PICKTHAL: Is he who relieth on a clear proof from his Lord like those for whom the evil that they do is beautified while they follow their own lusts?
SHAKIR: What! is he who has a clear argument from his Lord like him to whom the evil of his work is made fairseeming: and they follow their low desires.
KHALIFA: Are those enlightened by their Lord the same as those whose evil works are adorned in their eyes, and they follow their own opinions?
১৪। যে ব্যক্তি তার প্রভুর প্রেরিত সুস্পষ্ট [ প্রমাণের ] ৪৮৩২, উপরে প্রতিষ্ঠিত, সে কি তার মত, যার নিকট তার চরিত্রের মন্দ কর্মগুলিকে সুশোভিত করা হয়েছে ? এবং যারা তাদের আপন প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে ?
৪৮৩২। “সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ ” – এই শব্দটি দ্বারা বোঝানো হয়েছে সেই পথ যা আল্লাহ্র নূরে আলোকিত।
