তারা বলল, হে আমাদের সম্প্রদায়, আমরা এমন এক কিতাব শুনেছি, যা মূসার পর অবর্তীণ হয়েছে। এ কিতাব পূর্ববর্তী সব কিতাবের প্রত্যায়ন করে, সত্যধর্ম ও সরলপথের দিকে পরিচালিত করে।
They said: ”O our people! Verily! We have heard a Book (this Qur’ân) sent down after Mûsa (Moses), confirming what came before it, it guides to the truth and to a Straight Path (i.e. Islâm).
قَالُوا يَا قَوْمَنَا إِنَّا سَمِعْنَا كِتَابًا أُنزِلَ مِن بَعْدِ مُوسَى مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ يَهْدِي إِلَى الْحَقِّ وَإِلَى طَرِيقٍ مُّسْتَقِيمٍ
Qaloo ya qawmana inna samiAAna kitaban onzila min baAAdi moosa musaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi yahdee ila alhaqqi wa-ila tareeqin mustaqeemin
YUSUFALI: They said, “O our people! We have heard a Book revealed after Moses, confirming what came before it: it guides (men) to the Truth and to a Straight Path.
PICKTHAL: They said: O our people! Lo! we have heard a scripture which hath been revealed after Moses, confirming that which was before it, guiding unto the truth and a right road.
SHAKIR: They said: O our people! we have listened to a Book revealed after Musa verifying that which is before it, guiding to the truth and to a right path:
KHALIFA: They said, “O our people, we have heard a book that was revealed after Moses, and confirms the previous scriptures. It guides to the truth; to the right path.
৩০। তারা বলেছিলো, ” হে আমাদের সম্প্রদায় ! আমরা এক কিতাবের পাঠ শ্রবণ করেছি যা অবতীর্ণ হয়েছে মুসার পরে, যা সত্যায়িত করে উহার পূর্ববর্তী কিতাবকে। ইহা [ মানুষকে ] পরিচালিত করে সত্য এবং সরল পথের দিকে।
৩১। ” হে আমার সম্প্রদায়, আল্লাহ্র দিকে আহ্বানকারীর দিকে মনোযোগ দাও এবং তার প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন কর। আল্লাহ্ তোমাদের দোষত্রুটি ক্ষমা করবেন এবং ভয়াবহ শাস্তি থেকে তোমাদের উদ্ধার করবেন ৪৮১০।
৪৮১০। যিনি আল্লাহ্র একত্বের প্রতি বিশ্বমানবকে আহ্বান করেন তিনি আমাদের মহানবী [ সা ]। যদি আমরা আল্লাহ্র একত্বে ও মহানবীর প্রতি বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করি, তবে আল্লাহ্ আমাদের গুণাহ্ সমূহ ক্ষমা করে দেবেন। কারণ সাধারণ মানুষ কেহই পাপের উর্দ্ধে নয়। অনুতাপের মাধ্যমে আত্মসংশোধন দ্বারাই একমাত্র আল্লাহ্র ক্ষমা লাভের যোগ্যতা অর্জন করা সম্ভব। আল্লাহ্র ক্ষমাই পরলোকের মর্মন্তুদ শাস্তি থেকে রক্ষা পাওয়ার একমাত্র উপায়।
