সে আল্লাহর আয়াতসমূহ শুনে, অতঃপর অহংকারী হয়ে জেদ ধরে, যেন সে আয়াত শুনেনি। অতএব, তাকে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক শাস্তির সুসংবাদ দিন।
Who hears the Verses of Allâh (being) recited to him, yet persists with pride as if he heard them not. So announce to him a painful torment!
يَسْمَعُ آيَاتِ اللَّهِ تُتْلَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
YasmaAAu ayati Allahi tutla AAalayhi thumma yusirru mustakbiran kaan lam yasmaAAha fabashshirhu biAAathabin aleemin
YUSUFALI: He hears the Signs of Allah rehearsed to him, yet is obstinate and lofty, as if he had not heard them: then announce to him a Penalty Grievous!
PICKTHAL: Who heareth the revelations of Allah recited unto him, and then continueth in pride as though he heard them not. Give him tidings of a painful doom.
SHAKIR: Who hears the communications of Allah recited to him, then persists proudly as though he had not heard them; so announce to him a painful punishment.
KHALIFA: The one who hears GOD’s revelations recited to him, then insists arrogantly on his way, as if he never heard them. Promise him a painful retribution.
০৮। সে আল্লাহ্র আয়াতসমূহের তেলাওয়াত শোনে , অথচ ঔদ্ধত্যের সাথে অটল থাকে, যেনো সে উহা শোনে নাই। তাহলে তুমি তার নিকট ভয়াবহ শাস্তির ঘোষণা দাও।
০৯। এবং যখন সে আমার আয়াতসমূহের কিছু অবগত হয়, সে তা নিয়ে হাসি ঠাট্টা করে। এদের জন্য রয়েছে লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক শাস্তি ৪৭৪৩।
৪৭৪৩। লক্ষ করুন আয়াত [ ৮ -১১ ] নং পর্যন্ত পাপের শাস্তি বর্ণনা প্রসঙ্গে বিভিন্ন অলংকারময় ভাষার প্রয়োগ করা হয়েছে – যা কৃত পাপের গুরুত্ব অনুযায়ী সামঞ্জস্যপূর্ণ।
১) ৮ নং আয়াতেবলা হয়েছে, যে ঔদ্ধত্য ও অহংকারের সাথে আল্লাহ্র আয়াতসমূহকে অস্বীকার করে তার অহংকারের পরিণতি হবে অত্যন্ত ভয়াবহ শাস্তি।
২) যারা আল্লাহ্র আয়াতসমূহে ব্যঙ্গ বিদ্রূপ করে তাদের জন্য আছে ” লাঞ্ছনাদায়ক ” শাস্তি। সে নিজেকে হাস্যষ্করভাবে বোকা প্রমাণিত করে থাকে।
৩) নম্বর শাস্তির বর্ণনা আছে নিম্নোক্ত আয়াত সমূহে।
