আল্লাহ যাকে পথ ভ্রষ্ট করেন, তার জন্যে তিনি ব্যতীত কোন কার্যনির্বাহী নেই। পাপাচারীরা যখন আযাব প্রত্যক্ষ করবে, তখন আপনি তাদেরকে দেখবেন যে, তারা বলছে আমাদের ফিরে যাওয়ার কোন উপায় আছে কি?
And whomsoever Allâh sends astray, for him there is no Walî (protector) after Him. And you will see the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers, oppressors, etc.) when they behold the torment, they will say: ”Is there any way of return (to the world)?”
وَمَن يُضْلِلِ اللَّهُ فَمَا لَهُ مِن وَلِيٍّ مِّن بَعْدِهِ وَتَرَى الظَّالِمِينَ لَمَّا رَأَوُا الْعَذَابَ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ إِلَى مَرَدٍّ مِّن سَبِيلٍ
Waman yudlili Allahu fama lahu min waliyyin min baAAdihi watara alththalimeena lamma raawoo alAAathaba yaqooloona hal ila maraddin min sabeelin
YUSUFALI: For any whom Allah leaves astray, there is no protector thereafter. And thou wilt see the Wrong-doers, when in sight of the Penalty, Say: “Is there any way (to effect) a return?”
PICKTHAL: He whom Allah sendeth astray, for him there is no protecting friend after Him. And thou (Muhammad) wilt see the evil-doers when they see the doom, (how) they say: Is there any way of return?
SHAKIR: And whomsoever Allah makes err, he has no guardian after Him; and you shall see the unjust, when they see the punishment, saying: Is there any way to return?
KHALIFA: Whomever GOD sends astray will never find any other lord, and you will see such transgressors, when they see the retribution, saying, “Can we get another chance?”

৪৪। যাকে আল্লাহ্ বিপথে ত্যাগ করেন , তার জন্য কোন অভিভাবক নাই। পাপীরা যখন শাস্তি প্রত্যক্ষ করবে তখন তুমি ওদের বলতে শুনবে ,” [পৃথিবীতে ] ফিরে যাওয়ার কোন পথ আছে কি ?” ৪৫৮৭
৪৫৮৭। মৃত্যুর পরপারের জীবনে পাপীরা যখন তাদের কাজের পরিণাম উপলব্ধি করতে পারবে তখন পাপীদের মনের অবস্থা এখানে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। তারা তখন প্রাণপণে পৃথিবীর শিক্ষানবীশ কালে পুণরায় ফিরে যেতে চাইবে। কিন্তু দুঃখের বিষয় যখন সে পৃথিবীর জীবনে ছিলো, সে বারে বারে আল্লাহ্র অনুগ্রহকে অবহেলা , অপব্যবহার ও প্রত্যাখান করেছে। জীবনের সে অধ্যায় শেষ হয়ে যাওয়ার পরে সে কিভাবে আবার সেখানে ফিরে যাবে ?
