অতঃপর যখন তাদের আঙ্গিনায় আযাব নাযিল হবে, তখন যাদেরকে সতর্ক করা হয়েছিল, তাদের সকাল বেলাটি হবে খুবই মন্দ।
But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)!
فَإِذَا نَزَلَ بِسَاحَتِهِمْ فَسَاء صَبَاحُ الْمُنذَرِينَ
Fa-itha nazala bisahatihim fasaa sabahu almunthareena
YUSUFALI: But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)!
PICKTHAL: But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned.
SHAKIR: But when it shall descend in their court, evil shall then be the morning of the warned ones.
KHALIFA: When it hits them one day, it will be a miserable day; they have been sufficiently warned.
১৭৭। কিন্তু যখন তাদের সম্মুখে উম্মুক্ত প্রান্তরে ইহা [ শাস্তি ] নেমে আসবে , তখন যারা সর্তক করা সত্বেও [ শোনে নাই ] তাদের প্রভাত হবে কত মন্দ ৪১৪৩।
৪১৪৩। এই আয়াতটিতে উপমার মাধ্যমে পাপীদের শাস্তির বিবরণ দান করা হয়েছে। উপমাটি এরূপ শত্রুদের বাসস্থান যেনো পাহাড়ের পাদদেশে সমতল ভূমিতে। রাতের আধারে পাহাড় থেকে আল্লাহ্র সেনাদের অতর্কিতে আক্রমণে শত্রুদের বাসস্থান ছিন্ন ভিন্ন হয়ে যায়। উচ্চ স্থান থেকে নিম্নভূমিতে যখন বন্যার পানি ধেয়ে আসে তার গতি যেরূপ প্রচন্ড ও অপ্রতিহত হয়ে থাকে , পাপীদের উপরে আল্লাহ্র শাস্তি- ও ঠিক সেরূপ প্রচন্ড গতিতে নেমে আসবে। এর পরেও যারা জীবিত থাকবে তাদের দুঃখ দুর্দ্দশার অন্ত থাকবে না। উপরন্তু সঠিক সময়ে সাবধানবাণী না শোনার জন্য তাদের অনুতাপের ও কষ্টের সীমা থাকবে না। প্রভাত হবে তাদের জন্য কতই না মন্দ।
