বলুন, তোমরা তাদেরকে আহবান কর, যাদেরকে উপাস্য মনে করতে আল্লাহ ব্যতীত। তারা নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডলের অনু পরিমাণ কোন কিছুর মালিক নয়, এতে তাদের কোন অংশও নেই এবং তাদের কেউ আল্লাহর সহায়কও নয়।
Say: (O Muhammad SAW to those polytheists, pagans, etc.) ”Call upon those whom you assert (to be associate gods) besides Allâh, they possess not even the weight of an atom (or a small ant), either in the heavens or on the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor there is for Him any supporter from among them.
قُلِ ادْعُوا الَّذِينَ زَعَمْتُم مِّن دُونِ اللَّهِ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْأَرْضِ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِيهِمَا مِن شِرْكٍ وَمَا لَهُ مِنْهُم مِّن ظَهِيرٍ
Quli odAAoo allatheena zaAAamtum min dooni Allahi la yamlikoona mithqala tharratin fee alssamawati wala fee al-ardi wama lahum feehima min shirkin wama lahu minhum min thaheerin
YUSUFALI: Say: “Call upon other (gods) whom ye fancy, besides Allah: They have no power,- not the weight of an atom,- in the heavens or on earth: No (sort of) share have they therein, nor is any of them a helper to Allah.
PICKTHAL: Say (O Muhammad): Call upon those whom ye set up beside Allah! They possess not an atom’s weight either in the heavens or in the earth, nor have they any share in either, nor hath He an auxiliary among them.
SHAKIR: Say: Call upon those whom you assert besides Allah; they do not control the weight of an atom in the heavens or in the earth nor have they any partnership in either, nor has He among them any one to back (Him) up.
KHALIFA: Say, “Implore the idols you have set up beside GOD. They do not possess as much as a single atom in the heavens, or the earth. They possess no partnership therein, nor does He permit them to be His assistants.”

২২। বল,” আল্লাহ ব্যতীত তোমরা যাদের [উপাস্য] মনে কর তাদের ডাক ৩৮২২। আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীতে তাদের অনু পরিমানও ক্ষমতা নাই ৩৮২৩। এই দুয়ের মধ্যে তাদের কোন অংশ নাই, তাদের কেউ আল্লাহ্র সাহায্যকারীও নয়।
৩৮২২। পৃথিবীর মানুষ জাগতিক জীবনকে এত শক্তভাবে আঁকড়ে ধরে, এত ভালোবাসে যে, জাগতিক জীবনের বাইরে আর কিছুই সে কল্পনা করতে পারে না। ফলে তার জীবনে ক্ষমতা ও অর্থই হয়ে পড়ে একমাত্র আরধ্য বিষয়বস্তু। মানুষ সেই সব জিনিষের পিছনে অন্ধের মত ছুটে বেড়ায় যা তার জন্য সম্পদ ও সৌভাগ্য বহন করে আনবে বলে মনে করে। মানুষ আল্লাহকে ভুলে দিবারাত্র এদেরই আরাধনা করে থাকে , এরাই তাদের আরাধ্য দেবতা।
৩৮২৩। আকাশ ও পৃথিবীতে কোন কিছুর উপরে মিথ্যা উপাস্য সমূহের কোনও ক্ষমতা নাই। আমাদের আধ্যাত্মিক ও দৈনন্দিক জীবনে এদের কোনও প্রভাব নাই। যদি কেউ মনে করে যে এ সব মিথ্যা উপাস্য সামান্য কিছু হলেও আল্লাহ্র ক্রিয়া কর্মে সাহায্য করে থাকে তবে তা সর্বৈব মিথ্যা এবং তা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি নিন্দা জ্ঞাপন করার মত জঘন্য কাজ। আল্লাহ্ সর্বশক্তিমান তিনি তার ক্ষমতা কারও সাথে অংশীদারিত্ব করেন না। তাঁর কারও সাহায্যের প্রয়োজন নাই। তাঁর সমকক্ষ কেহ নাই।
মন্তব্য : বাংলাদেশে অনেকেই মাজারে যেয়ে সাহায্য প্রার্থী হয় বা বিপদ ও মুসিবত থেকে রক্ষা পাওয়ার জন্য পীরের স্মরণাপন্ন হয়, এ সব অত্যন্ত গর্হিত কাজ।
