নিশ্চয় মুসলমান পুরুষ, মুসলমান নারী, ঈমানদার পুরুষ, ঈমানদার নারী, অনুগত পুরুষ, অনুগত নারী, সত্যবাদী পুরুষ, সত্যবাদী নারী, ধৈর্য্যশীল পুরুষ, ধৈর্য্যশীল নারী, বিনীত পুরুষ, বিনীত নারী, দানশীল পুরুষ, দানশীল নারী, রোযা পালণকারী পুরুষ, রোযা পালনকারী নারী, যৌনাঙ্গ হেফাযতকারী পুরুষ, , যৌনাঙ্গ হেফাযতকারী নারী, আল্লাহর অধিক যিকরকারী পুরুষ ও যিকরকারী নারী-তাদের জন্য আল্লাহ প্রস্তুত রেখেছেন ক্ষমা ও মহাপুরষ্কার।
Verily, the Muslims (those who submit to Allâh in Islâm) men and women, the believers men and women (who believe in Islâmic Monotheism), the men and the women who are obedient (to Allâh), the men and women who are truthful (in their speech and deeds), the men and the women who are patient (in performing all the duties which Allâh has ordered and in abstaining from all that Allâh has forbidden), the men and the women who are humble (before their Lord Allâh), the men and the women who give Sadaqât (i.e. Zakât, and alms, etc.), the men and the women who observe Saum (fast) (the obligatory fasting during the month of Ramadân, and the optional Nawâfil fasting), the men and the women who guard their chastity (from illegal sexual acts) and the men and the women who remember Allâh much with their hearts and tongues (while sitting, standing, lying, etc. for more than 300 times extra over the remembrance of Allâh during the five compulsory congregational prayers) or praying extra additional Nawâfil prayers of night in the last part of night, etc.) Allâh has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise).
إِنَّ الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَالْمُسْلِمَاتِ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْقَانِتِينَ وَالْقَانِتَاتِ وَالصَّادِقِينَ وَالصَّادِقَاتِ وَالصَّابِرِينَ وَالصَّابِرَاتِ وَالْخَاشِعِينَ وَالْخَاشِعَاتِ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقِينَ وَالْمُتَصَدِّقَاتِ وَالصَّائِمِينَ وَالصَّائِمَاتِ وَالْحَافِظِينَ فُرُوجَهُمْ وَالْحَافِظَاتِ وَالذَّاكِرِينَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا وَالذَّاكِرَاتِ أَعَدَّ اللَّهُ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًا
Inna almuslimeena waalmuslimati waalmu/mineena waalmu/minati waalqaniteena waalqanitati waalssadiqeena waalssadiqati waalssabireena waalssabirati waalkhashiAAeena waalkhashiAAati waalmutasaddiqeena waalmutasaddiqati waalssa-imeena waalssa-imati waalhafitheena furoojahum waalhafithati waalththakireena Allaha katheeran waalththakirati aAAadda Allahu lahum maghfiratan waajran AAatheeman
YUSUFALI: For Muslim men and women,- for believing men and women, for devout men and women, for true men and women, for men and women who are patient and constant, for men and women who humble themselves, for men and women who give in Charity, for men and women who fast (and deny themselves), for men and women who guard their chastity, and for men and women who engage much in Allah’s praise,- for them has Allah prepared forgiveness and great reward.
PICKTHAL: Lo! men who surrender unto Allah, and women who surrender, and men who believe and women who believe, and men who obey and women who obey, and men who speak the truth and women who speak the truth, and men who persevere (in righteousness) and women who persevere, and men who are humble and women who are humble, and men who give alms and women who give alms, and men who fast and women who fast, and men who guard their modesty and women who guard (their modesty), and men who remember Allah much and women who remember – Allah hath prepared for them forgiveness and a vast reward.
SHAKIR: Surely the men who submit and the women who submit, and the believing men and the believing women, and the obeying men and the obeying women, and the truthful men and the truthful women, and the patient men and the patient women and the humble men and the humble women, and the almsgiving men and the almsgiving women, and the fasting men and the fasting women, and the men who guard their private parts and the women who guard, and the men who remember Allah much and the women who remember– Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a mighty reward.
KHALIFA: The submitting men, the submitting women, the believing men, the believing women, the obedient men, the obedient women, the truthful men, the truthful women, the steadfast men, the steadfast women, the reverent men, the reverent women, the charitable men, the charitable women, the fasting men, the fasting women, the chaste men, the chaste women, and the men who commemorate GOD frequently, and the commemorating women; GOD has prepared for them forgiveness and a great recompense.

৩৫। নিশ্চয়ই মুসলিম [ আত্মসমর্পনকারী ] পুরুষ ও নারীগণ , ৩৭১৮ বিশ্বাসী [মোমেন ] পুরুষ ও নারীগণ , অনুগত পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, সত্যবাদী পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, ধৈর্যশীল এবং দৃঢ় পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, বিনয়ী পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, ৩৭১৯ দানশীল পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, রোজা পালনকারী পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, যৌন পবিত্রতা রক্ষাকারী পুরুষ ও নারীগণ, আল্লাহকে অধিক স্মরণকারী পুরুষ ও নারীগণ – ৩৭২০, এদের জন্য আল্লাহ্ ক্ষমা ও মহা পুরষ্কার প্রস্তুত রেখেছেন।
৩৭১৮। এই আয়াতে ‘ইসলাম ‘ বা আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছার কাছে আত্ম সমর্পনকারীর ধর্মসমূহ বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে যার সার সংক্ষেপ করা হয়েছে টিকা ৩৭২০।
৩৭১৯। মোমেন নারী ও পুরুষের গুণসমূহ এই আয়াতে বর্ণনা করা হয়েছে। এখানে বিশেষ ভাবে গুরুত্ব আরোপ করা হয়েছে মোমেন হতে হলে নারী পুরুষ নির্বিশেষ সকলকেই সমভাবে আল্লাহ্ নির্দ্দেশিত গুণে গুণান্বিত হতে হবে। নারী পুরুষ উভয়েরই আধ্যাত্মিক অধিকার এবং মানবিক অধিকার এই আয়াতে সমভাবে স্বীকৃত হয়েছে। এই আয়াত নারীর সম -অধিকারের এক জলন্ত দলিল। নারীকেও আল্লাহ্ পরকালে তাঁর কর্তব্য কর্মের জন্য জবাবদিহিতার সম্মুখীন করবেন এবং তাঁকে শাস্তি বা পুরষ্কার প্রদান করবেন। নারী ও পুরুষ নির্বিশেষ উভয়কে সম্বোধনের মাধ্যমে নারীর অধিকার, দায়িত্ব কর্তব্যকে বিশেষ ভাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে এবং নারীকে পুরুষের সম-মর্যদা দান করা হয়েছে। সুতারাং যারা বলে ইসলামে নারীকে মর্যদা দান করে নাই – তারা অজ্ঞতা থেকেই তা বলে।
৩৭২০। মোমেন নারী ও পুরুষকে যে সব নৈতিক গুণে গুণান্বিত হতে হবে সেগুলি নিম্নরূপ :
১) আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছার কাছে আত্মসমর্পনকারী অর্থাৎ বিশ্বাসে, আনুগত্যে এবং পার্থিব চাওয়া-পাওয়া, বিপদ -বিপর্যয় জীবনের সব ক্ষেত্রে তারা আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছাকেই জীবনের শ্রেষ্ঠ পাওয়া বলে বিবেচনা করে থাকে।
২) মোমেন অর্থাৎ যার মধ্যে আল্লাহ্র প্রতি বিশ্বাস ও ভয় একান্ত আন্তরিক। দেখুন টিকা ২৬।
৩) অনুগত অর্থাৎ যারা জীবনের প্রতিটি ক্ষেত্রে আল্লাহ্র প্রতি আনুগত্য প্রকাশ করে আন্তরিক ভাবে।
৪) সত্যবাদী অর্থাৎ যারা চিন্তায়, নিয়তে, কথায় ও কাজে সত্যের প্রতি নিবেদিত।
৫) ধৈর্য্যশীল ; অর্থাৎ বিপদে যারা দৃঢ়, অধ্যাবসায়ী , ধৈর্য্যশীল এবং সঠিক পথে কখনও উৎসাহ না হারিয়ে প্রবল ভাবে চেষ্টাশীল। দেখুন টিকা ৬১।
৬) বিনয়ী অর্থাৎ দম্ভ ও অহংকার ও শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব বোধকে ত্যাগ করা।
৭) দানশীল : অপরকে সাহায্য করার মানসিকতা। এটা একটা বিশেষ গুণ যা আল্লাহ্র প্রতি কর্তব্য বোধ থেকে জাগরিত হয়। ২নং এ যে কর্তব্যের উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে।
৮) সওম পালনকারী বা রোজাদার : এখানে সওম অর্থাৎ আত্মসংযমী – এই সংযম শুধুমাত্র খাদ্যবস্তুতে নয়, রীপু সকল ও জীবনের সকল চাওয়া পাওয়ার ক্ষেত্রে তা প্রযোজ্য।
৯)। যৌন অংগ হিফাজত কারী , যৌন পবিত্রতা পুরুষ ও নারী উভয়ের ক্ষেত্রেই সমভাবে প্রযোজ্য। এই সংযম দৈহিক ভাবে যেমন প্রযোজ্য , ঠিক সমভাবে প্রযোজ্য যৌন চিন্তার ক্ষেত্রে, তার নিয়ত , চিন্তা , কথা ,এবং পরিশেষে কাজ। কুদৃষ্টি, কুচিন্তা , কু-উদ্দেশ্য এ সকল ব্যাপারেই সংযমী হওয়ার নির্দ্দেশের অর্ন্তগত।
১০। আল্লাহকে অধিক স্মরণকারী : অর্থাৎ যারা সর্বদা আল্লাহ্র প্রেরিত বার্তা বা শিক্ষাকে অনুধাবনের চেষ্টা করে এবং ঐকান্তিক ভাবে আল্লাহ্র সান্নিধ্য লাভের জন্য চেষ্টা করে থাকে।
উপরিউক্ত গুণাবলী হচ্ছে মুসলমানদের বৈশিষ্ট্য। উল্লেখযোগ্য যে, মুসলিম নারীদেরও মুসলিম পুরুষদের সাথে সমভাবে এক কাতারে সম্বোধন করা হয়েছে। এখানেই ইসলামের দৃষ্টিতে নারী ও পুরুষের সমতা, এখানেই ইসলামের সৌন্দর্য।
