আল্লাহই তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন, অতঃপর রিযিক দিয়েছেন, এরপর তোমাদের মৃত্যু দেবেন, এরপর তোমাদের জীবিত করবেন। তোমাদের শরীকদের মধ্যে এমন কেউ আছে কি, যে এসব কাজের মধ্যে কোন একটিও করতে পারবে? তারা যাকে শরীক করে, আল্লাহ তা থেকে পবিত্র ও মহান।
Allâh is He Who created you, then provided food for you, then will cause you to die, then (again) He will give you life (on the Day of Resurrection). Is there any of your (socalled) partners (of Allâh) that do anything of that ? Glory be to Him! And Exalted be He above all that (evil) they associate (with Him).
اللَّهُ الَّذِي خَلَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ رَزَقَكُمْ ثُمَّ يُمِيتُكُمْ ثُمَّ يُحْيِيكُمْ هَلْ مِن شُرَكَائِكُم مَّن يَفْعَلُ مِن ذَلِكُم مِّن شَيْءٍ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ
Allahu allathee khalaqakum thumma razaqakum thumma yumeetukum thumma yuhyeekum hal min shuraka-ikum man yafAAalu min thalikum min shay-in subhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoona
YUSUFALI: It is Allah Who has created you: further, He has provided for your sustenance; then He will cause you to die; and again He will give you life. Are there any of your (false) “Partners” who can do any single one of these things? Glory to Him! and high is He above the partners they attribute (to him)!
PICKTHAL: Allah is He Who created you and then sustained you, then causeth you to die, then giveth life to you again. Is there any of your (so-called) partners (of Allah) that doeth aught of that? Praised and Exalted be He above what they associate (with Him)!
SHAKIR: Allah is He Who created you, then gave you sustenance, then He causes you to die, then brings you to life. Is there any of your associate-gods who does aught of it? Glory be to Him, and exalted be He above what they associate (with Him).
KHALIFA: GOD is the One who created you. He is the One who provides for you. He is the One who puts you to death. He is the One who resurrects you. Can any of your idols do any of these things? Be He glorified. He is much too exalted to have any partners.
৪০। আল্লাহ্-ই তোমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন। উপরন্তু তিনি তোমাদের জীবনোপকরণ যোগান দিয়েছেন। তারপরে তিনি তোমাদের মৃত্যু দেবেন। এবং পুণরায় তিনি তোমাদের জীবনে ফিরিয়ে আনবেন। তোমাদের [ মিথ্যা ] শরীকদের মধ্যে এমন কেহ আছে কি যে এ সমস্তের কিছুমাত্র করতে পারবে ? মহিমা তারই। তারা [আল্লাহ্ প্রতি ] যে শরীক আরোপ করে তিনি তা থেকে বহু উর্দ্ধে ৩৫৫৫।
৩৫৫৪। মানুষ বহু সময়েই আল্লাহ্র সাথে অংশীদারিত্বে অংশ গ্রহণ করে। ব্যক্তিপূঁজা,বা বীর পূঁজা, বা মাজার পূঁজা ইত্যাদিও এর অন্তর্ভূক্ত। এ সব অংশীদারদের থেকে আল্লাহ্ বহু উর্দ্ধে। পৃথিবীতে আমাদের অস্তিত্বের জন্য আমরা কি আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত আর কারও উপরে নির্ভরশীল হতে পারি ? এ সব দেব-দেবীরা ক্ষমতাহীন। তারা কি আমাদের জীবনোপকরণ দিতে পারে ? তারা কি পারে আমাদের প্রাণ নিতে এবং তা আবার ফিরিয়ে দিতে ? অবশ্যই তারা তা পারে না। তাহলে কি এ সব ক্ষমতাহীনদের আল্লাহ্র সাথে ক্ষমতার অংশীদার কল্পনা করে নির্বোধ লোকেরা আল্লাহ্র অসম্মান করে না ?
