ফেরাউন ও তার বাহিনী অন্যায়ভাবে পৃথিবীতে অহংকার করতে লাগল এবং তারা মনে করল যে, তারা আমার কাছে প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে না।
And he and his hosts were arrogant in the land, without right, and they thought that they would never return to Us.
وَاسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُ فِي الْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوا أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ
Waistakbara huwa wajunooduhu fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi wathannoo annahum ilayna la yurjaAAoona
YUSUFALI: And he was arrogant and insolent in the land, beyond reason,- He and his hosts: they thought that they would not have to return to Us!
PICKTHAL: And he and his hosts were haughty in the land without right, and deemed that they would never be brought back to Us.
SHAKIR: And he was unjustly proud in the land, he and his hosts, and they deemed that they would not be brought back to Us.
KHALIFA: Thus, he and his troops continued to commit arrogance on earth, without any right, and thought that they would not be returned to us.
৩৯। এবং পৃথিবীতে ফেরাউন ও তাঁর দল-বল ছিলো কোন কারণ ছাড়াই উদ্ধত এবং অন্যায়কারী। তারা মনে করতো যে তারা আমার নিকট প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে না। ৩৩৭২
৩৩৭২। ” তারা আমার নিকট প্রত্যাবর্তন করবে না।” – ফেরাউন ও তার বাহিনী পরলোকের জগত সম্বন্ধে কোনও বিশ্বাসই করতো না। তাদের অহংকার ও দম্ভ এই সহজ সত্যকে অনুধাবনে অক্ষম করে যে, প্রতিটি কাজেরই প্রতিফল আছে। ভালো কাজের পরিণাম ভালো এবং মন্দ কাজের পরিণাম মন্দ। এই ভালো ও মন্দ কাজের ফলাফল পরলোকে আমাদের আল্লাহ্র নিকট থেকে গ্রহণ করতে হবে। একমাত্র পরম করুণাময়ের করুণাতেই মন্দ পরিণাম থেকে রক্ষা পাওয়া সম্ভব।
