অতঃপর যখন বিলকীস এসে গেল, তখন তাকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হল, তোমার সিংহাসন কি এরূপই? সে বলল, মনে হয় এটা সেটাই। আমরা পূর্বেই সমস্ত অবগত হয়েছি এবং আমরা আজ্ঞাবহও হয়ে গেছি।
So when she came, it was said (to her): ”Is your throne like this?” She said: ”(It is) as though it were the very same.” And [Sulaimân (Solomon) said]: ”Knowledge was bestowed on us before her, and we were submitted to Allâh (in Islâm as Muslims before her).”
فَلَمَّا جَاءتْ قِيلَ أَهَكَذَا عَرْشُكِ قَالَتْ كَأَنَّهُ هُوَ وَأُوتِينَا الْعِلْمَ مِن قَبْلِهَا وَكُنَّا مُسْلِمِينَ
Falamma jaat qeela ahakatha AAarshuki qalat kaannahu huwa waooteena alAAilma min qabliha wakunna muslimeena
YUSUFALI: So when she arrived, she was asked, “Is this thy throne?” She said, “It was just like this; and knowledge was bestowed on us in advance of this, and we have submitted to Allah (in Islam).”
PICKTHAL: So, when she came, it was said (unto her): Is thy throne like this? She said: (It is) as though it were the very one. And (Solomon said): We were given the knowledge before her and we had surrendered (to Allah).
SHAKIR: So when she came, it was said: Is your throne like this? She said: It is as it were the same, and we were given the knowledge before it, and we were submissive.
KHALIFA: When she arrived, she was asked, “Does your mansion look like this?” She said, “It seems that this is it.” (Solomon said,) “We knew beforehand what she was going to do, and we were already submitters.”
৪২। সুতারাং যখন সে উপস্থিত হয়েছিলো, তাঁকে জিজ্ঞাসা করা হলো, ” এটা কি তোমার সিংহাসন ? ” সে বলেছিলো, ” এটা ঠিক যেনো তাই-ই ৩২৭৯। এ ব্যাপারে পূর্বেই আমাকে জ্ঞান দান করা হয়েছে এবং আমরা আল্লাহ্র ইচ্ছার নিকট আত্মসমর্পন করেছি [ ইসলামে ]। ”
৩২৭৯। রাণী বিলকিসকে পরীক্ষা করা হলো। কিন্তু তিনি তাঁর সিংহাসনকে সনাক্ত করতে সক্ষম হলেন – যদিও তা সম্পূর্ণরূপে তাঁর মূল সিংহাসনের মত ছিলো না। পরবর্তী লাইন গুলিতে দেখা যায় , রাণী আল্লাহ্র রহমত ও করুণার জন্য কৃতজ্ঞ ছিলেন কারণ তিনি গর্বিত হন তাঁর সৌভাগ্যের জন্য। সৌভাগ্য এই জন্য যে, আল্লাহ্ তাঁর হেদায়েতের আলোর দ্বারা তাঁকে ও তাঁর প্রজাকূলকে ধন্য করেছেন, তিনি আল্লাহ্র নবী সুলাইমানকে সনাক্ত করতে পেরেছিলেন , এবং অন্তরের সাথে সত্য ধর্মকে গ্রহণ করেন। [ সিংহাসন হচ্ছে ক্ষমতা ও মর্যদার প্রতীক দেখুন টিকা ৩২৭৩ ]
