তারা যখন আপনাকে দেখে, তখন আপনাকে কেবল বিদ্রুপের পাত্ররূপে গ্রহণ করে, বলে, এ-ই কি সে যাকে আল্লাহ ‘রসূল’ করে প্রেরণ করেছেন?
And when they see you (O Muhammad SAW), they treat you only as a mockery (saying):”Is this the one whom Allâh has sent as a Messenger?
وَإِذَا رَأَوْكَ إِن يَتَّخِذُونَكَ إِلَّا هُزُوًا أَهَذَا الَّذِي بَعَثَ اللَّهُ رَسُولًا (
Wa-itha raawka in yattakhithoonaka illa huzuwan ahatha allathee baAAatha Allahu rasoolan
YUSUFALI: When they see thee, they treat thee no otherwise than in mockery: “Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger?”
PICKTHAL: And when they see thee (O Muhammad) they treat thee only as a jest (saying): Is this he whom Allah sendeth as a messenger?
SHAKIR: And when they see you, they do not take you for aught but a mockery: Is this he whom Allah has raised to be an messenger?
KHALIFA: When they saw you, they always ridiculed you: “Is this the one chosen by GOD to be a messenger?
৪১। যখনই তারা তোমাকে দেখে, তারা তোমাকে উপহাস না করে ছাড়ে না : ” এই কি সেই ব্যক্তি যাকে আল্লাহ্ রসুল করে পাঠিয়েছেন?
৪২। ” সে তো আমাদের আমাদিগের উপাস্য থেকে পথভ্রষ্ট করে ফেলার উপক্রম করেছিলো, যদি না আমরা তাদের প্রতি অবিচলিত থাকতাম।”- শীঘ্রই তারা জানতে পারবে, যখন তারা শাস্তিকে প্রত্যক্ষ করবে- যে কোন্ ব্যক্তি পথ থেকে অধিক ভ্রষ্ট। ৩০৯৬
৩০৯৬। “Sabil” শব্দটির অর্থ পথ। এখানে পথভ্রষ্ট শব্দটির দ্বারা চরিত্রের নৈতিক মূল্যবোধ বিচ্যুতিকে বোঝানো হয়েছে। জীবন যাপনে নৈতিকতা বর্জিত ব্যক্তি।
