যাদুকররা বললঃ আমাদের কাছে যে, সুস্পষ্ট প্রমাণ এসেছে তার উপর এবং যিনি আমাদের কে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তাঁর উপর আমরা কিছুতেই তোমাকে প্রাধান্য দেব না। অতএব, তুমি যা ইচ্ছা করতে পার। তুমি তো শুধু এই পার্থিব জীবনেই যা করার করবে।
They said: ”We prefer you not over the clear signs that have come to us, and to Him (Allâh) Who created us. So decree whatever you desire to decree, for you can only decree (regarding) this life of the world.
قَالُوا لَن نُّؤْثِرَكَ عَلَى مَا جَاءنَا مِنَ الْبَيِّنَاتِ وَالَّذِي فَطَرَنَا فَاقْضِ مَا أَنتَ قَاضٍ إِنَّمَا تَقْضِي هَذِهِ الْحَيَاةَ الدُّنْيَا
Qaloo lan nu/thiraka AAala ma jaana mina albayyinati waallathee fatarana faiqdi ma anta qadin innama taqdee hathihi alhayata alddunya
YUSUFALI: They said: “Never shall we regard thee as more than the Clear Signs that have come to us, or than Him Who created us! so decree whatever thou desirest to decree: for thou canst only decree (touching) the life of this world.
PICKTHAL: They said: We choose thee not above the clear proofs that have come unto us, and above Him Who created us. So decree what thou wilt decree. Thou wilt end for us only this life of the world.
SHAKIR: They said: We do not prefer you to what has come to us of clear arguments and to He Who made us, therefore decide what you are going to decide; you can only decide about this world’s life.
KHALIFA: They said, “We will not prefer you over the clear proofs that came to us, and over the One who created us. Therefore, issue whatever judgment you wish to issue. You can only rule in this lowly life.
৭২। তারা বলেছিলো ,” আমাদের নিকট যে স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন ২৫৯৪ এসেছে তার উপর অথবা যিনি আমাদের সৃষ্টি করেছেন তার উপর তোমাকে আমরা কিছুতেই প্রাধাণ্য দিব না। সুতারাং তুমি যা করতে চাও তা কর। তুমি তো কেবল এই পৃথিবীর জীবনের উপর কর্তৃত্ব করতে পার ২৫৯৫।
২৫৯৪। স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন ; অলৌকিক ঘটনা, আল্লাহ্র প্রেরিত দূতের ব্যক্তিত্ব, ঘটনার ধারাবাহিকতা যেভাবে তা সংঘটিত হয়েছে , তাদের বিবেকের দৃঢ় বিশ্বাস – এ সকলই হচ্ছে স্পষ্ট নিদর্শন। আল্লাহ্র নিদর্শনের আরও প্রমাণ আছে সূরার অন্যান্য জায়গায় যেমনঃ [ ২০ : ৫৩ – ৫৪ ]।
২৫৯৫। এ ভাবেই মুসার উপরে প্রদত্ত মিশরবাসীদের প্রতি দায়িত্বের প্রথম অংশ সম্পন্ন হয়। দেখুন আয়াত [ ৭ : ১২৬ ] ও টিকা ১০৮৩।
