অতঃপর তিনি যখন তাদেরকে এবং তার আল্লাহ ব্যতীত যাদের এবাদত করত, তাদের সবাইকে পরিত্যাগ করলেন, তখন আমি তাকে দান করলাম ইসহাক ও ইয়াকুব এবং প্রত্যেককে নবী করলাম।
So when he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allâh, We gave him Ishâque (Isaac) and Ya’qûb (Jacob), and each one of them We made a Prophet.
فَلَمَّا اعْتَزَلَهُمْ وَمَا يَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ اللَّهِ وَهَبْنَا لَهُ إِسْحَقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَكُلًّا جَعَلْنَا نَبِيًّا
Falamma iAAtazalahum wama yaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi wahabna lahu ishaqa wayaAAqooba wakullan jaAAalna nabiyyan
YUSUFALI: When he had turned away from them and from those whom they worshipped besides Allah, We bestowed on him Isaac and Jacob, and each one of them We made a prophet.
PICKTHAL: So, when he had withdrawn from them and that which they were worshipping beside Allah, We gave him Isaac and Jacob. Each of them We made a prophet.
SHAKIR: So when he withdrew from them and what they worshipped besides Allah, We gave to him Ishaq and Yaqoub, and each one of them We made a prophet.
KHALIFA: Because he abandoned them and the gods they worshiped beside GOD, we granted him Isaac and Jacob, and we made each of them a prophet.
৪৯। অতঃপর সে যখন তাদের থেকে এবং আল্লাহ্ ব্যতীত যাদের তারা এবাদত করতো, তাদের [ সকলের ] থেকে দুরে সরে গেলো, আমি তাকে দান করলাম, ইসাহাক ও ইয়াকুব। এবং তাদের প্রত্যেককে নবী করলাম ২৫০১।
২৫০১। ইসাহাক ও ইসাহাকের পুত্র ইয়াকুবের কথা এখানে শুধু উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে , কারণ ইব্রাহীমের বংশের দুই শাখার এটা হচ্ছে এক শাখা। হযরত ইব্রাহীমের বংশের দুই শাখাই পয়গম্বরদের আগমনে ধন্য। ইসাহাকের শাখার উল্লেখ এখানে করা হয়েছে, এই শাখাতে আগমন করেন হযরত মুসা, হযরত ঈসা বা যীশু খ্রীষ্ট। অপর শাখা হচ্ছে হযরত ইসমাঈলের বংশধর যার কথা পরবর্তী পাঁচটি আয়াতে আলাদাভাবে উল্লেখ করা হয়েছে বিশেষ সম্মানের সাথে। এই শাখাতে জন্ম গ্রহণ করেন শেষ নবী হযরত মুহম্মদ (সা)। সে কারণেই তাঁর উল্লেখ হযরত মুসার পরে করা হয়েছে। দেখুন [ ২১ : ৭২ ]।
