বিধিহীনমসৃষ্টান্নং মন্ত্রহীনমদক্ষিণম্ ।
শ্রদ্ধাবিরহিতং য়জ্ঞং তামসং পরিচক্ষতে ॥ ১৭-১৩॥

বিধিহীনং = without scriptural direction
অসৃষ্টান্নং = without distribution of prasAdam
মন্ত্রহীনং = with no chanting of the Vedic hymns
অদক্ষিণং = with no remunerations to the priests
শ্রদ্ধা = faith
বিরহিতং = without
য়জ্ঞং = sacrifice
তামসং = in the mode of ignorance
পরিচক্ষতে = is to be considered.
