য়াতয়ামং গতরসং পূতি পর্যুষিতং চ য়ত্ ।
উচ্ছিষ্টমপি চামেধ্যং ভোজনং তামসপ্রিয়ম্ ॥ ১৭-১০॥

য়াতয়ামং = food cooked three hours before being eaten
গতরসং = tasteless
পূতি = bad-smelling
পর্যুষিতং = decomposed
চ = also
য়ত্ = that which
উচ্ছিষ্টং = remnants of food eaten by others
অপি = also
চ = and
অমেধ্যং = untouchable
ভোজনং = eating
তামস = to one in the mode of darkness
প্রিয়ং = dear.
