সত্ত্বাত্সঞ্জায়তে জ্ঞানং রজসো লোভ এব চ ।
প্রমাদমোহৌ তমসো ভবতোঽজ্ঞানমেব চ ॥ ১৪-১৭॥

জ্ঞানং = knowledge
রজসঃ = from the mode of passion
লোভঃ = greed
এব = certainly

প্রমাদ = madness
মোহৌ = and illusion
তমসঃ = from the mode of ignorance

অজ্ঞানং = nonsense
