কর্মণঃ সুকৃতস্যাহুঃ সাত্ত্বিকং নির্মলং ফলম্ ।
রজসস্তু ফলং দুঃখমজ্ঞানং তমসঃ ফলম্ ॥ ১৪-১৬॥

কর্মণঃ = of work
সুকৃতস্য = pious
আহুঃ = is said
সাত্ত্বিকং = in the mode of goodness
নির্মলং = purified
ফলং = the result
রজসঃ = of the mode of passion
তু = but
ফলং = the result
দুঃখং = misery
অজ্ঞানং = nonsense
তমসঃ = of the mode of ignorance
ফলং = the result.
