শ্রেয়ো হি জ্ঞানমভ্যাসাজ্জ্ঞানাদ্ধ্যানং বিশিষ্যতে ।
ধ্যানাত্কর্মফলত্যাগস্ত্যাগাচ্ছান্তিরনন্তরম্ ॥ ১২-১২॥

শ্রেয়ঃ = better
হি = certainly
জ্ঞানং = knowledge
অভ্যাসাত্ = than practice
জ্ঞানাত্ = than knowledge
ধ্যানং = meditation
বিশিষ্যতে = is considered better
ধ্যানাত্ = than meditation
কর্মফলত্যাগঃ = renunciation of the results of fruitive action
ত্যাগাত্ = by such renunciation
শান্তিঃ = peace
অনন্তরং = thereafter.
