য়ে হি সংস্পর্শজা ভোগা দুঃখয়োনয় এব তে ।
আদ্যন্তবন্তঃ কৌন্তেয় ন তেষু রমতে বুধঃ ॥ ৫-২২॥

য়ে = those
হি = certainly
সংস্পর্শজাঃ = by contact with the material senses
ভোগাঃ = enjoyments
দুঃখ = distress
য়োনয়ঃ = sources of
এব = certainly
তে = they are
আদি = beginning
অন্ত = end
বন্তঃ = subject to
কৌন্তেয় = O son of Kunti
ন = never
তেষু = in those
রমতে = takes delight
বুধঃ = the intelligent person.
