অপানে জুহ্বতি প্রাণং প্রাণেঽপানং তথাপরে ।
প্রাণাপানগতী রুদ্ধ্বা প্রাণায়ামপরায়ণাঃ ॥ ৪-২৯॥
অপানে = in the air which acts downward
জুহ্বতি = offer
প্রাণং = the air which acts outward
প্রাণে = in the air going outward
অপানং = the air going downward
তথা = as also
অপরে = others
প্রাণ = of the air going outward
অপান = and the air going downward
গতি = the movement
রুদ্ধ্বা = checking
প্রাণায়াম = trance induced by stopping all breathing
পরায়ণাঃ = so inclined.
