ইন্দ্রিয়াণি পরাণ্যাহুরিন্দ্রিয়েভ্যঃ পরং মনঃ ।
মনসস্তু পরা বুদ্ধির্যো বুদ্ধেঃ পরতস্তু সঃ ॥ ৩-৪২॥

পরাণি = superior
আহুঃ = are said
ইন্দ্রিয়েভ্যঃ = more than the senses
পরং = superior
মনঃ = the mind
মনসঃ = more than the mind

পরা = superior
বুদ্ধিঃ = intelligence

বুদ্ধেঃ = more than the intelligence
পরতঃ = superior
